Fantastic tutorial . Thank you so much ❤. I will have a go and make my Austin dress. I have a beautiful thin corduroy fabric and I will make the view A. ❤

On your website when you introduced the Austin pattern, you say that you will have instructions on a version without the side buttons, "If buttons aren't your thing though, we've got a post planned on how easily to omit them", unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere?

I notice you are making horizontal buttonholes - which I can see does mean you can get them perfectly lined up, in sequence because you can “square” off the buttonhole foot edge against the one above and below. But RTW are always horizontal and I find it really tricky to get them perfectly straight as there are no “tramlines” to use to ensure the buttonhole foot is set completely vertical to the ones above and below. Is this why you suggest horizontal buttonholes?.

No, though I see where you're coming from with that. The reason I made horizontal buttonholes at the side seams is that the side seams will take a moderate amount of pull from front to back so having the buttonholes horizontal makes it so the buttons hit the ends of the buttonholes and stops the buttons from popping out of the buttonholes since they can't become wider than they already are.
