I was at the show when the injury occurred. It was scary stuff. These wrestlers no matter where they are on the card or if they are in a famous story line, take deadly risks every time they go in the ring. All creds to Austin and Melo for recovering quickly

Agreed and the character change was the nail in the coffin. It’s extremely sad when you go back and watch 2021 to early 2022 theory and see how great he was with all that potential.

@@arifm.5635 The character change at the start and before his US title reign was actually good. And then HHH suddenly forgets how to book him properly after Mania vs Cena. He has a lot of making up to do in terms of booking him and I hope this year he turns him face and pushes him hard.

I'd argue that it helps give him a chip on his shoulders, a grievance, an edge. I'm not agreeing with the way they booked him but if everything went smooth for him, he'd be super boring. I chalk up this stage of his career as just paying dues. There's no other under 30 wrestler in the world that has the IT factor like he does, so he'll be alright. He's going to bounce back.

If the video circulating twitter today with him shutting down that journalist is actually a work and not real, then i have a guess that its part of a way to get the IWC on side and liking and respecting him more to eventually start off the face turn. (Since for some reason the marks and casual fans seem to still hate on him and put 0 respect on his name).
