Her rhythm playing would be awesome regardless, but that she is able to sing and get in some emotive hand gestures too just takes it to another level. Brilliant. PS, missed this the first time: the old wallet on the snare trick 16 seconds in.

I truly love Brittany. But you're getting a nut, over a few hand gestures ? Ha, ha. You're weird.

What's crazy is, this was an off night for Brittany. For every singer, there are those nights when your body doesn't want to cooperate. This is one of those nights for her, and she still ripped!

They're alright. Not really a fan of that woman's singing style. I like the guitar in their first break out song "hold on." As a Gen Xer, the greatest generation of new and original music, I don't get as excited about this band as say a white liberal milennial.
@globalflexjam33909 жыл бұрын
+Judy Miller Go listen some Ted Nugent or Kid Rock if that's your speed - who anointed Gen X as the greatest anything? - the woman can flat out sing - why bring your negativity here - don't force your opinion on anyone
@Think8909 жыл бұрын
+Judy Miller As a fellow Gen Xer I can tell you, you have no idea what you are talking about ...greatest generation of new and original music....sorry friend but our generation just added a metal edge to an established sound. The Jazz era literally broke from established and funded musical tradition. Just because its not the music you gravitate towards doesnt make you right :)
@judymiller35819 жыл бұрын
You must have been asleep throughout the 90s Metal edge? Try grunge, alternative rock and indie to name a few. You are fooling yourself if you think this is an improvement on the musical revolution of that era. In fact, I think you might be a millennial lying about your age. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and STP > Alabama Shakes. Like I said, this band is OK, but they would have just been another indie band of the 90s. They are enjoying a period where most music sucks and any half way decent band is going to stand out like a diamond.
@Think8909 жыл бұрын
Deary I hate to tell you that Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and STP are shades of the same sound. Pearl Jam and Nirvana separate themselves because their records were more diverse. Grunge is literally heavy blues with flecks of metal thrown in. I'm not saying this band is anything but a solid group who plays solid music. If anything this singer is as solid as any of your named bands in terms of technical quality. Certainly not on the same level of Eddie Vedder in terms of songcraft, yet, but the rest of those bands produced little to no profound work. Without payola radio practices we would know each of them for a couple songs and then poof they'd be done.
@cantcny9 жыл бұрын
+Think890 Did you just say Soundgarden produced little or no profound work? Seriously? I like PJ but Eddie has one style and one voice neither of which are particularly diverse. +Judy Miller The only thing lamer than using the term grunge is proclaiming you are a Gen Xer. Nobody said this was the best band ever. She has an amazing voice and great character in front of an average band who, BTW, would not have been relegated to the sidelines in the early 90's. ..."white liberal, millenial" FFS
