Well these days modern image sensors are detailed enough that often enough you can get away with softer lenses. I'd imagine it's actually really soft, especially when wide open and the edge sharpness is likely to be pretty off but it really doesn't matter for this content, and if you are using the lense for mostly personal use and currently don't have enough money to buy a lense in that focal length then it could be a lot of fun to buy. I bought a cheap crappy, 25mm f1.6 cctv lense for like $50. It was surprisingly sharp and a lot of fun to use, but I definitely wouldn't use it for any of my client work.
