What else did we expect for Avi Arad. The guy who butchered Uncharted and the guy who was been ruining Spider-Man since 2007. Plus, with Eli Roth involved. I wasn't surprised about how bad the fllm was. Looks like the video game movie genre curse is back.

I will say this regarding Ai Arad. The man has brought up some damn great films. Like X2, Spider-Man 2, and Iron Man, but unfortunately 90% of his stuff are misfires. I'm hoping one day a GREAT adaptation comes to the big screen, but not this day it seems.

Yes, it’s that bad! Watch “It Ends With Us”, starring Blake Lively. That’s a much better movie than this. I’m saying that, because both of these movies are released in theaters on my birthday, which is today.

TPS actually has an amazing story in terms of handsome jack so i recommend it just for that but love your review, i was in a similar situation i never expected it to be any good but i didnt expect it to be this bad from what i have heard, wont judge it fully till i have seen it but its hard to find anyone who has much positive to say about it people have compared claptrap to jar jar

Hollywood needs to stop messing up with video game movies. They keep doing this since like 30 years and that's one of the big reasons why people are not seeing Borderlands in theaters after seeing or hearing all the bad or worse reviews for this movie. This movie is going to bomb big time at the box office this weekend and people wanted to see good movies like Deadpool and Wolverine instead of seeing bad or horrible movies and i don't blame them.

The biggest issue is that the majority of the time the filmmakers involved have either no knowledge of the source material when they sign on or...they simply just do not care. I heard Craig Mazin's original draft was HIGHLY praised, but when Eli Roth got his hands on it it got HEAVILY re-written.

@@AustinPPutnam I'm sure there's one or two, but when you have the formula of, "let's have their interest for a little while and then just have something messed up happen at the end" in multiple horror films, then I can imagine you wouldn't be very good at writing an action comedy. (I mean, obviously in Hostel it was just messed up all throughout, but more of his films I've seen have done that other formula.)

Well as a Gamer that loves to play the Borderlands video games and I was hoping this movie would have been good despite of the Great actors like Cate Blanchett Jack Black Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Hart I was expecting it to be good but boy this was the most Disappointing video game movie ever made I've watched boy it annoyed me and it disappointing and the fact the movie is rated PG-13 When the Borderlands video games are rated M for Mature it should have been rated R to begin with so as I a Gamer your better off going back to play Call of Duty again movie wise your better off watching Guardians of the Galaxy or The Suicide Squad over this Crap this movie SUCKS Can't believe I wasted a Saturday afternoon watching this Piece of DogShit movie
