Most unbreakable record: John Stockton's career total assists and steals, way ahead than the second in both categories.
@bricefleckenstein96664 жыл бұрын
Most unbreakable records. Celtics - 8 CHAMPIONSHIPS in a row. NO other team has managed more than 3 in a row. Wilt - 48.5 minutes per game. Bill - 11 rings as a player. Wilt - 50+ points per game for an entire season - keep in mind that Wilt's *3'd best* season beats any challenge (Elgin Baylor's 48 game 1961-1962 season is 4'th by that standard) and Wilt's *4th* best season beats any "qualifying" season by anyone else. John's assist total record is pretty close to those though.
@GOATexp3 жыл бұрын
@@bricefleckenstein9666 I think the assist total may be in that category tbh. He’s nearly to 16,000 which is nearly 4,000 more than 2nd place and 6,000 more than any current day player which is Chris Paul. He was averaging 14apg for a few seasons which is insane to do rn

Quite a bit more unbreakable than any record Stockton holds - but I don't see John's assist record being touchable by anyone currently in the league.
@Antony.1013 жыл бұрын
its Definitely getting broken with someone like luka he can maybe average a TD With the (10 Assists) Steals Don't know without many competing with john stockton's career average and the highest in this season (Jimmy Butler) Averaging 2.1 SPG You May be right on the steals one Since defense has had less effort put in since the 90s and before the hand checking rule which john extremely made use out of it Averaging (2.2 SPG) Which is .1 higher than this seasons current leader in steals (Jimmy Butler) I do definitely think That Stockton's Records Are Extremely Hard To surpass But with more points Equals More Assists The problem with steals is that the current offense is insanely good So take this for example: There's Always That Kyrie Typa Guy Like Good Shooting Amazing Handles Etc Then There's The Curry One (Alternative if kyrie one cant shoot) And then That Just dominant big man Like Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Karl-Anthony-Towns, Rudy Gobert And Deandre Ayton Almost Impossible to stop So assists will be broken no offense but not steals in a long long time because that's gonna have to be made in a majorly shifted league that is in favor of defense. Props to stockton Not underrated kinda getting the recognition he deserves finally I Think it's time to put the spotlight on other insanely good not talked about players

Disagree about the 100 point game. Look what it took for Wilt to get that record. You had the most athletic and durable NBA player (and perhaps greatest athlete overall) in world history in his prime. You had the highest scoring, fastest pace, smallest court era in NBA history. You had Wilt playing against a crap team with their starting center out because of a hangover. And you had the entire Warriors team fighting desperately to get him the ball EVERY possession to intentionally get the record despite blowing out the Knicks. It took one of the greatest players ever in his prime on a miracle night just to get 81. And that’s only because Kobe’s team in 2006 was so bad that the Raptors weren’t put away until the final minutes. And Booker only got 70 because he got fouled 57 times in the 4th quarter. If anybody were to even crack 70 in the 3rd quarter today, they would likely be up 40+ points and would sit the 4th quarter. Coaches are too concerned with injuries and fatigue to give a player anywhere close to the minutes he would need to flirt with 100 points.

Austin: "so it's rare for a player to record 40 pts in a playoff game, let alone 50" *laughing in Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell*
@limabean63984 жыл бұрын
For the 2 straight playoff 50's I think if they make the playoffs, I think D-Book and Bradley Beal could easily break it

The only reason wilt's 100 pt game isnt broken yet is because steve kerr sits out players on the 4th when they are playing well

Quadruple doubles are even tougher this days. There were many more blocks when the game was played around the rim. That Draymond td though

@@baconzombies3310 Wilt only dunked from the free thrown line ONCE - and that was in a college practice when he was a freshman. What he DID do for a short while, before the NBA changed the rules, was to get a 2-3 step running start, then LAY UP free throws.
@baconzombies33103 жыл бұрын
@@bricefleckenstein9666 he would dunk it
@bricefleckenstein96663 жыл бұрын
@@baconzombies3310 Not in the NBA. There is NO RECORD WHATSOEVER of Wilt ever dunking a free throw in the NBA. It's possible he might have done so in a practice but if so nobody has ever said they actually SAW it. There is only one WITNESSED account of him doing it in College. That was in a practice game when he was a Freshman and had never actually suited up for a game even AS a Freshman (NCAA prohibited Freshmen from Varsity play 'till 1972 or so - a rule that also impacted folks like Kareem and Bill Walton). The head of the NCAA Rules Committee was one of the witnesses for that practice - and pushed for SEVERAL rule changes including prohibition of dunked free throws as a direct result of what he saw at that practice (and got at least 3 of those rule changes APPROVED before Wilt ever played in a NCAA varsity game). Was he capable of doing so in the NBA? No doubt about it. Did he actually DO so? Not in an actual game.

I can see all these career and single game records getting smashed but Wilt's average of 50.36 points and 27.2 rebounds in a season are absolutely unbreakable. It's just humanly impossible to be this hot for an entire season.

If there's any active player that could realistically break the 100-point record, it's not going to be Mr. Inconsistent. It would have to be somebody like Damian Lillard, Luka or James Harden.
