To answer all of your questions: Yes, i will try to do Tkachuk and the 2 finns, maybe Nylander. But I don't think it will be quite the same quality of my previous ones. Working with a lot less video this time around. :/ I hope to get them done by the end of the month. Fingers crossed. :D

I do realize its against Switzerland (Still a tough opponent nonetheless), but would have been nice to see a few more replays of the assist at 1:29. Godly hands/creativity in shaking that defender in the corner. Excited for the kids future in Toronto.

Reminds me of Crosby, solid all around skillset but minus the vision. Can do everything and is great along the boards. tbh, he's similar to Malkin with his puck handling.

I see a lot of Steven Stamkos in his shot, and Alex Ovechkin in his ability to track the puck and know the best possible way he can get a chance at scoring.

Scott O Monahan is pretty much Toews..same height, handedness, two way forward. Not saying they're clones but they are kinda similar
@defuzins
@defuzins 8 жыл бұрын
Inappropriate Comments i got you. I dont look at monahan too much but i know he's a complete player. Not really the flashy, but he does the little things. I just think matthews is more like the current toews cause of the work ethic, corner battles, body control, offensive and defensive positioning is similar to toews, creating something out of literally nothing. Scoring in different ways and always looking to make teammates better.
@Surl9596

+Alfred Vega Not a chance they suck enough to land the #1 pick. No offense to you, but with this year's draft class it seems that the fans of every team (at least the bottom half of the league) want to see their team suck instead of shining so they can get a good pick, and I don't like that mentality if they're actually serious.

The more I see Matthews play , the more I like what I'm seeing.!! Am I the only one who thinks that Matthews style of play is eerily similar to McDavid's play..?? I'm not saying that I think he's better or even as good as McD , but if you blurred the names on their back and showed highlights of both players ....I don't think I could tell the difference.?? Similar size as well. OR because I'm a Leaf fan and haven't had anything exciting happen with my team ( since Don Cherry planted one on ' Dougie ' ... announcing #93 as the Best Plyr in the World ) and am wishful thinking..?? 😁 * maybe a little bit of both..?? Either way , what I'm seeing from this Teenage Phenom has me and a ton of battered Leaf Fans Very HAPPY..!!
@karmanjotgill3034
@karmanjotgill3034 8 жыл бұрын
Not Really. Matthews is gonna be so good and bigger in terms of size as well. But the way they play is different. Mcdavid uses more of his speed. Matthews has a great shot. Matthews reminds me more of Stamkos
@jeanninegagne5111
@jeanninegagne5111 8 жыл бұрын
+Jon Snow yeah I know he has a great shot , probably better then McDavids already , but I don't see Stamkos comparison really. Stamkos is amazing no doubt about it , but I feel Stamkos is dangerous primary because of his shot and rest the rest of his game is ' Good ' ....but not Great. But because he Does possess that ridiculous Shot , he's able to score a shitload of goals. Maybe I'm wrong , but I'd almost guarantee Matthews will be a much more Complete player then Stamkos ..( after a few years naturally ). That's the fun part of getting the first overall pick .... the analysing and debating that is sure to happen. And as a longsuffering Leaf fan I'm really enjoying talking about something of a Positive Nature for a change.. lol. Anyway , I appreciate your thoughts and it'll be fun to see exactly what type player Matthews does become.?? cheers
@karmanjotgill3034

Yeah I think he's going to be better then Stamkos as well but, in terms of their shots, its already on Stamkos level

All his goals came against the easy teams.....he wouldn't get up for the Sweden, Finland, or Russia games, but had no problem playing against the Danes and Swiss. Why are people enamored with this kid?
@trolman777
@trolman777 8 жыл бұрын
6'2" 200lbs, amazing wrist shot, can win faceoffs, has amazing defensive awareness, is a leader, had 24 goal in 36 games in a Zurich men's league as a 17 year old, was one goal off of breaking the American record (8) in the world juniors this year and he had the same amount of points as mcdavid did in his world juniors. (eichel only had 4 points)
@samgardner4667
@samgardner4667 8 жыл бұрын
+trolman777 he got 4 points against the Swiss, and 3 against the Danes. He did little to nothing in the next 5 games

+trolman777 Game 1 v Canada 2pts 1G 1A Game 2 v Sweden 0 points Game 3 v Switzerland 4 points 2 G 2A Game 4 V Denmark 2 points 1G 1A Game 5 v Czech Republic 3 points 3 G Game 6 v Russia 0 points Game 7 v Sweden 0 points. So, what that tells me is, the kid doesn't get up for big games. Outside of the Czech Republic Game (a team that won only 2 games in Group B) in qualifying, he couldn't be asked to do anything special. A large chunk of his points came against the legendary Team Switzerland. Another chunk came against the Danes and a very weak Czech team. The kid wouldn't get up for the Two Sweden games, Russia, and had a secondary assist and garbage goal against the Canadians. Basically Matthews points only came against teams that didn't matter
@trolman777
@trolman777 8 жыл бұрын
Sam Gardner I remember watching the Russia game, Matthews was still the best player on the ice he had so many great chances but Ilya Samsonov stood on his head and made like 40 saves. and the game against sweden matthews line generated 2 goals and he was as much apart of their goals as the people who got the points with the defensive plays that lead to the goals
