If you're going to claim someone isn't "the sharpest tool" you may want to make sure your point isn't paper thin and easily proven wrong. The actual reason behind it is that the NHL doesn't want to spend anymore than they have to on licensing the songs, same goes with broadcasting stations, if they had more songs they'd need to pay more money for licensing.
