Same in London. The parks here were created because of the plagues and viruses that used to decimate the population on a regular basis, so that people could get out and have some sunlight and fresh air. People are using the parks for what they were designed to do make them fitter and boost their immune system yet are told they are evil for doing so. Can't believe the amount of the fines is Aus though $1152 at least in Uk it is only £60 it does seem a bit steep but Aussies are so used to being fined huge amounts I suppose if you want them to comply you have to make it hurt.

@@squarerootof2 That's about the situation here except you're allowed to leave during non-curfew hours for "essential" purposes. During curfew, you'd better have a reason for something really essential. My forend is a nurse who works night, and the hospital gave her a permission slip to show the police if she's stopped. I guess being in uniform with a name tag and ID badge wouldn't be enough. Without martial law and roadblocks, these curfews are essentially unenforceable. The police have way too much to do to be stopping cars to question you, and there's a real question about probable cause in any case. Our unemployment rate went from 3.8% to somewhere between 25% and 30% in a little more than a month. One study I read was 50% of all small businesses closed by the government would never reopen. @Rosscoe Schopenhauser They're the same thing to most people. You have to understand that. Debt allowed people to get what they wanted before being able to afford it and continue making minimum payments to continue the lifestyle they wanted. Banks might get bail-outs but the people who owe them? Doubtful. Credit will likely be given out with different criteria after this that could prevent people from 'living the good life' through debt. But not everyone lived that way, some people(not a whole lot) lived within their means and they'll still be adversely impacted by possibly losing jobs in industries that will have difficulty recovering. Even if they didn't, how many do you think will choose to forgo unnecessary purchases because they remember what happened here? This has the possibility of being a genuine depression and talk to people who had parents that lived through it, many continued to live lives of minimalism even _after_ the economy got better.

I'd like to know how they are going to enforce a $1000 fine when so many people are unemployed. This wouldn't happen in the US, as we need that money for our food and mortgages. We also wouldn't sell our guns here in the US, so that fine would be better used as free government toilet paper.
@susanvanduyn28474 жыл бұрын
No, you wouldn't sell your guns, and I hope that you are never placed in that situation. The mindset over guns between Australians and Americans is quite different. From our founding we didn't have the same need for firearms that you did; so that need/right was not ingrained into us. Plenty of unemployed here in Oz also.

This is interesting, I went out this morning to get my rego vehicle inspection and while waiting I went for a walk past the local car dealers who were open and walked into the motorcycle dealer, who was also open and looked at some bikes. While looking the salesman approached and we discussed the bike in question and offered me a test ride! Would this deem to be legal under these laws????

Theology - pluralism, Ethic - amoralism, Authority - scientism, Mission - social justice. Subversion (Latin subvertere: overthrow) refers to a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed, in an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and social norms.

Jeff Osborn This plandemic crisis may be a hypnotic agenda forced upon all people in this world. But its Primary Aim is a live test-run of: (1) Government compliance and enforcement in every country. (2) The extent of world-wide media unity, and (3) The strength of the narrative. If the top levels of our control system 'pass' this test - it will be game on for the next evil step! FOOD shortage and rationing! The key for the dark wardens of this world is to generate fear! People should start taking note of batch numbers of police officers who overreach their duties and abuse their powers for imparting fair, citizen justice after this situation is over or once we overthrow our current tyrannical governments. All the crimes committed by the minions of the state should be recorded to ensure proper justice is served.

@11Frodo11 Actually it might have been Half Life 2. I played a lot of games with this dystopian theme. I remember playing it and thinking that it must be the far future for society to break down to such a point where Police are required to such an extent to have absolute power like Judge Dread. Oh how wrong I was. Only took a decade or so and here we are. Ever since I watched 1984 I've been seeing so much of it repeated in real life. That book is slowly changing from a prophecy to a history book.

I'd be refusing to pay these fines. They can't just make new laws out of the blue like this. The government has rules it needs to follow. None of these things can be legal from a constitutional PoV. Otherwise, why can't the government just make these laws any time they like. I've committed no crime. I'm not under house arrest. If I want to go outside, point me to the law that says I can't do it.

Most deaths are people with pre-existing health issues, aged or both. There is less than .5% chance a healthy person dies from C-19. There is a 100% chance everyone will know someone that loses a job, business, home, or family suffers for years from the over reaction. I'm 60 and would happily take my chances with C-19 so thousands aren't financially crippled for years and over reaching government actions to come.
