That moment when you realize that the "Trixie: Great Advice Giver" wasn't just a shoe-horned thing for this episode...Remembering that this was a trait they gave her all the way back in the Season 6 Finale to help Starlight overcome her fear of being in charge. A trait that even transferred over into her EG self in Forgotten Friendship with Sunset.

She does tend to give good advice. She's blunt like Starlight and morally gray a lot of the time so she receives a lot of information and spits out a good answer.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how Trixie's magic have gotten extremely stronger since her first appareance? Like, teleporting a literal piece of land like that from so far away requires a LOT of magical skill, so even if dangerous, that's genuinely really impressive ^w^

I believe that the person who was warning "dont do special's before ending unless youre ok with spoilers" was talking about the Friendship is Forever specials, which are mostly framing devices for clip shows. However, they take place between two of the last episodes. The specials everyone has been recommending, Best Gift Ever and Rainbow Roadtrip, are fine to watch before the end.

THIS is a StarTrix episode that redeemed itself for Season 9 in my opinion. Have to say that among each episode of Season 9 that had its ups and downs, MLP: FiM is really ending strong.

Technically, it does have to do with the overarching story. There are two different branches of the overarching story. The obvious first branch is the villains leading up to the finale. The second branch however is where this episode fits in. Twilight preparing to take Celestia and Luna's place as ruler of Equestria.

It was great to see familiar pony characters play a role in interacting with the students as Starlight’s candidates, especially Octavia and Dr. Hooves!

Love this one, the show really did do amazing at giving so many running plotlines a great sendoff. Plus really showing Twilight growing into the role of mentor very well. Trixie as the counselor... that one is harder to justify. But then again, this school's never exactly had the highest criteria for it's hiring.

This is one of my favorite StarTrix episodes, seeing Starlight working on becoming the new permanent headmare of the school of friendship was good, although i couldn't really stand Trixie's behavior well except maybe for when she stood up for Gallus, but all of Trixie's attempts to convince Starlight to make her vice headmare were messed up but at least Trixie learned her lesson in the end and Starlight actually made good choices by making Trixie the new guidance counselor and Sunburst the voice head stallion, and as for Phyllis well she'll be okay.

Trixie isn't too smart, and that's her biggest flaw. She wanted the position because it will allow them to be friends and work together, but also Trixie wanted to help Starlight.

I really love Starlight. It's a shame that she seems to have been shafted this season. There are a couple very poor Rainbow episodes that could have been replaced with Starlight/Trixie/Maud episodes.

This is a great episode imo! I like direction everyone is taking at this point Finding their place in world with their new responsibilities and all and Starlight being appointed as Head Mare of the school and running Twilight’s castle is really cool! Trixie being the new counselor is pretty cool too but kinda questionable.😅 And Sunburst becoming the Vice Head Stallion, smart choice by Trixie.😉

Am I the only one who wasn't mad at Trixie for starting an argument with Grandpa Gruff? Someone really needed to put him in his place. He does a terrible job at being Gallus' guardian and his attitude is so...ugh. I get that you shouldn't shout and make a scene but Gallus needed someone to defend him.

Are you talking about the Friendship is Forever specials? The specials that everyone else is recommending, Best Gift Ever and Rainbow Roadtrip, took place before this point in the timeline and would not spoil anything.
