The way the Taiko machines are placed is so funny. You have 4 noise makers right next to each other, like it's asking you to disturb your arcade neighbor. Then there's 2 machines placed in such awkwardly random places that you'd not wanna play in due to noise pollution. Great video, might visit the land of the wild spiders one day.

12:53 Compared with genuine Maimai, these Chinese clones have more English pop and rock songs that‘re familiar to the general public in their database. However the chart design is some sort of messy and irregular, usually full of high-speed random taps without smooth linear motion trace designs...
@xiandnico8 күн бұрын
not to note they dont have proper licensing to the songs
@shiniboros7 күн бұрын
@@xiandnicothey do, for the most part. all of the songs that have expired liscences had been removed (like the otokaze songs)

tons of misinformation. dance cube is not just a "chinese clones", although the new show gamemode does look blatantly copied from maimai although dance cube has many chinese, kpop, and english pop songs, most of the active playerbase play the rhythm game songs (lunar paradoxxx, mujinku, aragami, etc) dance cube does get their music licensed, and no the charting isnt abnormal, you just suck (/j, but still)

Chunithm can be a bit weird with the notes like I'm fr hitting the notes and it said it's a a miss, but I think the game is really fun to play once you know what you're doing.
@TheDevilchilly9 күн бұрын
as a former osumania pro i still have problems with getting into chunithm bc of the wack note hitboxes and the godawful input delay on the touch panel that's proven to be delayed by like 20 frames on international 60hz cabs, japanese 120hz cabs mitigate this by delay of around 12-13 frames but still it's not super tactile like maimai. i love the game but it's surprisingly insanely hard to get into compared to maimai

@@gotchamatcha you just do, most of the time its groups of 2 and its pretty easy to track and if there's multiple singles then they just pair up. some place have a white board so that you can write down names on the list to track. I'm lucky since the Timezone I work at has a maimai cab and chuni cab which both almost get 0 play (legit i think its me and my mates that play plus an asian couple ive seen on a few occasions). Also the venue is like 5 months old so its a fairly new machine compared to the ones at Koko (2 of the 3 in the basement have fucked screens and the 3rd the buttons can be a bit iffy).

How does Australia have the money to acquire so much rhythm game machines? Most arcade centers in PH barely have a huge enough of space to accommodate so much machines (They still have a few maimai machines tho; maybe up to 3 machines) and they never bothered expanding into multiple floor levels. I feel like arcades in PH deserve more love and money.

6 TAIKO MACHINES? what the hell in my city there's 2. TOTAL. they are 20 kilometers away from each other. also same problem here, no one plays Taiko but the maimai machines are always packed. It's good for me as a Taiko main because I don't have to queue, but the experience playing Taiko is not really the best: I have to get my own Bachi (which is cheap, thankfully) and the drum quality sucks (some places are dead input which breaks your combo even though you 100% fucking hit the correct spot for Don/Ka)

I'm so glad I'm not alone in being a noob at beatmania IIDX! The notes are so confusing for me to read, since they're on different levels... They should make the buttons different colors to distinguish them from others! I also look really awkward when playing Dancerush too, since I focus on making a full combo and not looking like a pop star in a #1 hit billboard song :,D. Also, with my experience playing Taiko no Tatsujin (machines from 2010 that have no online connection), you're able to play 4 songs if you're good enough, and it's one of the offline games I actually want to play since they have the opening song to my favorite anime (PreCure!). It's quite suprising you hate CHUNITHM since you like Maimai, but I like all rhythm games so I might just think that everyone has the same opinion as me XD. Although it's one of the biggest cities in the U.S, there aren't really any lots of big arcades for rhythm gamers in Los Angeles (Where I live) other than Round1 arcades, and they don't have much MaiMai machines here either. But since there is a location test for U.S Maimai, if that succeeds then I'd love to play more maimai!!

9:35 It might not be your skill issue that you cant hit the notes. Actually, the international chuni cab is so flawed compared to the cab in Japan. I've never been to Austrailia before so it might be different from there but in my place, the input delay of chuni is about 200ms, compared to the cab in Japan which has 100ms of delay, its a fkin joke. I set judge B around 1.5~1.9 in int version but -0.3 in Japan cab and still gets fast lmao. It's really fun to play when you get used to it but reaching that level is frustrating either

@@SaowAngel so many taiko machines: they aren't bought, they're leased, and until theres anything better to replace them with, arcades tend to fill empty space with just more machines. iidx cab design: it's designed this way to accomodate different people, some people find one side more comfortable than the other. it also enables double play. You also went straight into a 5 with no knowledge of the game, not sure what you expected. Calling chuni a project sekai clone is ????? i dont even like chuni and that came off horribly. SDVX: "right cab buttons feel nicer" bro theyre identical? Arcade of course feels better, the machine design is better, and everything is essentially "as it was meant to be played" - years of abuse is counteracted by good maintenance, and the cabs you played on are only a few months old. Purikura down the road, has 3 machines, which are years older, and they feel fantastic to play on too. It's all maintenance. also in a video showcasing arcade machines, why are you telling people to buy a controller instead, when you yourself said the machine was better? Gitadora "basically guitar hero" where do you think GH got the idea from? Crossbeats: you made a mistake because a japanese game, was in japanese, and you made such a big deal of it lol also every rhythm game is "basically x" - but it's just insulting and demeaning to constantly put points of comparison across like this. I think you should become more familiar with arcade rhythm games before making content around them. all the best.
