Honestly after Concord, Dustborn, Ghost of Tsushima (3 gys and 1 cheating grandma), TLOUS, Spiderman 2, Capes, etc I'm so thankful that Nexon Games (Blue Archive) and Hoyoverse (Genshin, Star Rail, Zenless), Black Myth Wukong don't give a f- about western sensibilities. Sliderhead acc is bad, even if I could begrudgingly get used to it My computer doesn't perform as well as on stable My tablet feels ever so slightly different in lazer for whatever reason, and it's enough to get on my nerves. Maybe a settings issue, that could be my bad But honestly my main reason for not switching is every element not being skinnable yet. As feature rich as the UI may be, it doesn't look nearly as nice as stable does with a bunch of different skins, and I will never consider switching until that happens. That said, I'm invested in seeing where lazer goes, it's just not there for me yet.

i decided to give it another try after watching this video but it still runs about half as good as stable, stutters a shit ton, and has a constant 3-4 ms of latency. which sucks cause i do like everything else about it and the mod selection

I have a genetic joint condition and am easily susceptible to flare ups especially in a wrist-destroying game like osu!. I used to play a lot as a kid, around 2016, and I was personally a big fan of the maps release around 2013-2016. I started playing again just 3 days ago and yeah… don’t think I can stick around much longer lol. 2-3 maps are honestly enough to completely kill my wrists and set them on fire at this point. Before I decided to stop playing for my own physical health though, something I noticed about modern maps is the jump between Hard and Insane maps is MUCH bigger now. I’m able to FC the vast majority of Hard maps I’ve tried on the first go, yet as soon as I jump into Insane I’m mostly getting a B rank, A if lucky but usually at around 93%, or even just straight up unable to finish the map sometimes. I guess it’s a skill issue on my end because I no longer have the finger strength to do long streams or consistent single tapping (I’ve noticed a lot of modern maps nowadays rely on weirdly timed single tapping). Oh well, it is what it is.

I'm the opposite of most other people. Even though I'm quite antisocial, I do a flip flop and become overly social when I'm at the arcade. I cheer players on. And if they're alone, I'll see if they're willing to have me playing like a maniac beside them. The hardest thing is knowing whose turn it is next, because people, especially casuals, tend not to wait close by. I wish I could build some kind of queue system. Maybe I could hang a sign on the bar that says, "Hey, if you want to play next, make yourself known". Luckily, money is not the limiting factor for me. Fear of going outside is what holds me back the most from playing at the arcade. I could get a really nice arcade replica pad. But dang it, I do yearn for some kind of social experience. It would be gratifying to show others my skills, (Or embarrassment, to be more honest). I want to create an interesting experience for everyone.

Ive been playing adofai and i have hit a skill wall of geting past levels that are rated 13-15. Ive been able to learn levels but i cant complete them at all no matter what i do. I have no idea how to fix this

Osu catch player here. There’s definitely a rhythm aspect that is pretty essential to follow once you start to get around 4 stars but it focuses the most on precision in how you play. What I would compare it to most is actually a precision platformer in the vein of Celeste or Super Meat Boy. My prior skill in platformers really helped me when learning the game mode. Definitely really under-appreciated since it’s genuinely really cool.

I don't think the sliderhead argument is really that huge of a thing. it took me longer to learn hidden than to get used to the slider acc changes. It is a rhythm game in what world does hitting inaccurately and getting a perfect anyway make sense

I can't stand the UI in lazer. I don't hate it because its "Modern". It feels super cluttered with useless stuff, the fonts feel rough to read, blurred background and animations makes me dizzy, leaderboard is taking waaay too much space and text. Maybe its because I am so used to it but I don't see anything wrong with stable UI. Its very simple and looks clean to me, so I don't know why change that. These problems together make it not worth for me to switch.

Lazer input is still unusable on a decent pc, even after all these years. That's all i have against Lazer, ofc editor and storyboard heavy maps are lagging as well so nothing is in a usable state right now, with time i how it will become better.

I don't know why there are so many hateful comments on this video, the inaccuracies were very minor and the main points are still valid. I wish that Peppy and the other devs made lazer by making a 100% copy of osu stable without spaghetti code, then have everyone switch and make incremental updates instead of trying to make osu! 2.0 and hoping people will switch if they add enough features (though I think the daily challenge is a good addition). Never in a million years will I switch to lazer for anything other than the daily challenge maps unless I can see and submit scores to the stable leaderboard from lazer, its frustrating how it seems like the devs aren't even treating the leaderboards as an issue. Maybe it's not majority of players who care about the leaderboards, but it's definitely some of the most dedicated players who do care about them.

Yeah notelock is an illusion in lazer so , lazer better in all meanings 🎉🎉🎉 5 years playing lazer , my 4gb ram still 2ms on lazer and 18ms on stable

I started using osu lazer even before the pp update cause i used linux and i wanted soemthing native. Now im back on windows and i use lazer cause im so used to it, there are built in tablet drivers, it looks so much nicer i dont see myself going on standard ever

as a mania player, everything is better, there's no reason to not make the change. For an Osu st mode player even if it has this accuracy issue, it's exactly the same, so if you can't change because of that is a massive skill issue, remember that improvement requieres change and that also without change there will not be any improvement at all

Standard cilent is the most memorable layout to me, and I wanna keep using it :)
