And, replace incompetent Labor with the incompetent coalition? At least Labor is responsible for Australia’s AAA stable credit rating and, Dutton should give Labor those In the Black mugs. The current economic problem is Government wants to stimulate the Economy, while the RBA is trying to reduce inflation. What was worse Chairman Dan’s police state during COVID or Dictator Morrison’s secret visits to the G-G to take on a suite of Government portfolios? Hard to choose a side, when both sides are undesirable.

Until Australia gets rid of CASG and their useless processes we will always lack current and effective military capability. I worked nearly 40 years in defence industry in the UK and Australia, 15 in Australia where I witnessed the most horrific waste of resources in the Air, Land and Sea domains, worse than the UK. Primarily caused by the DMO now CASG. For us to have an effective defence they have to go.
@Floormassacred5 ай бұрын
What would you recommend other than CASG ? (i just looked them up to see what they are about)
@setildes5 ай бұрын
@@Floormassacred Thanks for asking all we need is good lawyers writing availability contracts that lock the defence companies into providing the capability to the ADF, much like we did in the UK and has been done in a small way with the RAAF. CASG has no incentive to make a decision and is highly inefficient in supporting the forces. I have seen it first-hand on many Australian programs, mostly land and sea-related.

Australia has enjoyed generations of prosperity so where is the defence capability to show for all this wealth? Governments in this country on both sides of politics are elected and then promise all sorts of outcomes, only to do nothing while they serve out their time in office before passing the problem on to the next government who then repeat the same process. Labour sat on the submarine question when they were last in office for six years and did nothing before passing it on to the Coalition government who then lost another nine years. That is why we won't have any submarines to replace the Collins class until the 2040’s. Words mean nothing, anyone can say words. What matters in the end is real military capability which is why China is busily arming itself today. We have been badly served by both sides of politics in this country.

There have been new technology developments by Ukraine. There is extensive use of GIS, GPS and aerial drones with hyperspecteral imagining cameras for detecting and the mapping of minefields. Also in use is water bourne sonar and other technologies for mine detection. ALP is incompentent when it comes to defence. The danger is that ALP appears to lean towards peace without any strength or defence assets. Since 1992, there appears to be a trend not to finish or deliver defence projects......why? Incompetence or something else? We are far less defence prepared than Ukraine was, when they suffered an unexpected invasion. A sudden thrust into Australia at key terrain points and it will be all over and AUstralia will cease to exist as it once was. This despite the WEF/Globalist's promises which I suspect that the ALP are relying on.

Folks were in a dangerous position and our politicians are incompetent and have got us in this position to begin with . All the rubbish talk won't help us when war ships start coming into our waters aggressively launching rockets at cities and infrastructure. All that march in solidarity garbage won't help . Trained and fully equiped and expanded military navy and airforce ,including equipment and installations and large stockpiles of ammunition, will help us. Expanding our capabilities to make weapons vehicles, rockets, jets, sea vessels, etc, is where we need to be right now. With the coal fires cranking to make it happen asap . All the talk , all the redirect, all the fanciful visions of nuclear power 10 years from now, or green energy targets is a pipe dream by some inbecile who is out of touch with reality and putting us into an even more dangerous position. These people got behind the ball and let our let us become sitting ducks while they worried more about allowing foreigners flood our shores , and while they been selling out our ports and our country to the highest bidder . Thinking hand shakes and money making is going to save the day .
