Very useful information about the two roads to Otway tree way. Fastest is also the steepest and stressful, take the longer one.

Yes, you are right, the longer way is definitely easier! thanks for confirming!

Question, are there enough resources along the Great Ocean Road, so a person on a fully loaded touring bicycle could do it? I.E Water and food. I can easily do 100K in a day. But with all the stops, might do less. Looks like a great area.
@VikDanAustralia7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching our video, sure there are plenty of resources along the Great Ocean Road to stop and get some food and water. Just keep in mind that the road can get a bit narrow at times and there can be a bit of traffic especially on weekends. The Great Ocean Road is spectacular!

I would like to take a 3-4 days great ocean roadtrip from Melbourne. What city do you recommend to stay overnight? We are budget travelers and like to cook by ourselves.
@VikDanAustralia10 ай бұрын
Hi there! Lorne and Torquay are expensive. there are lots of airbnbs and camp sites between Lorne and Apollo Bay. We recommend you check out Wye River and Kennett River, they are pretty good. You can stay overnight in Apollo Bay and also in Port Campbell. You will need at least two overnight stops as there is a lot to see along the GOR. Hope it helps!

Great Ocean Road was signed as State Route 100 between Torquay and Allansford in 1986. VicRoads re-declared the road as Great Ocean Road (Arterial #4890), beginning at Surf Coast Highway at Torquay and ending at Princes Highway in Allansford.[46]
@colinhuon5908 Жыл бұрын
@@VikDanAustralia OK. Thank you for the update. Some of the Victorian tourist sites try to say that it runs all the way to Nelson.
@VikDanAustralia Жыл бұрын
The GOR (B100) merges with the Princess Hwy (A1) near Allansford. The GOR definitely ends at Allansford. Only the part of the road built by soldiers returned from the WWII is officially called the GOR.
