If it's hybrid then I guess not. If it's petrol then check the overall engine condition, inspect it from a mechanic and that will be good

You can walk in to any transport office and apply. I will advise take driving lessons from India bcoz in Australia it is very expensive approx $700. Also if you can get Indian driving license, it will be easier to convert to Australian license. In QLD, if you have Indian license, You can directly get open license after driving test is successful. But if you do not have Indian License, you will have to get Learner license first and then convert it to open license. That's very lengthy process
