David Warner: One of the greats of the world & the greatest of Australia in this era
@JubaidRahman11 ай бұрын
Dismissing Australia quickly in their home tests is never easy for any team But India has made it look so easy in past seasons. The last two BGT series played in Australian soil show how Indian team evolved as a formidable test bowling unit, whom Australia found it difficult to cope up most times. The Indian bowlers being the one big reason why the team won two straight test series win against Australia in last two tours. 👏 Hope Pakistan can put up some fight against Australia or else it's a whitewash no doubt.
@jenconvertibles11 ай бұрын
Let's not pretend that the Australian team was in a good state in either of those tours. I mean Tim Paine was our number 7, we were hardly the strongest batting line up. I think if we had a home BGT tomorrow we would probably win. We also won the WTC on neutral soil, although I recognise India didn't field a full strength line up for that match either
@JubaidRahman11 ай бұрын
@@jenconvertibles Australia, be it in full strength or not...they are always strong at home in Tests and not easy to beat. Yes, their some batters were weak but their bowling line hasn't really changed much from past 3-4 years. Aus may win a BGT now but you can't deny India's incredible performance in past two tours, winning series twice which they couldn't do in their 70 year history despite their poor show in WTC final.
@darkraider047711 ай бұрын
@@jenconvertibles I don't think a team that has batsman like Smith, Warner and Labuschagne and a bowling attack of Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins and Lyon can be considered as weak....Let's not forget india were without their best batter Virat Kohli and as the series went by they lost all their main bowlers to injuries and were forced to make-do with a bunch a net bowlers by the time the Gabba test came...Considering all those circumstances it is definitely one of the greatest away series wins by any team...Losing WTC final doesn't take away that achievement
@jenconvertibles11 ай бұрын
@@darkraider0477 i’m not trying to say that it wasn’t a fantastic achievement, but the idea that pakistan are facing the same team that india were in that bgt is just pretty wrong imo
@darkraider047711 ай бұрын
@@jenconvertibles Not wrong at all...Aus team has been pretty much the same the last 3-4 years...they thrashed both Pak and NZ at home in 2019 before India won the series a year later and also thrashed England in the 2021-22 Ashes few months later...it's just that India's recent bowling attack is capable of picking 20 Aussie wickets unlike previous tours of the 2000s where our bowlers used to concede 400-500 every test match in Australia...Teams like Pakistan, NZ and England simply do not have bowlers who can trouble Aussie batsmen on flatter wickets

@AhmedRaza-lm8hn overall I thought it was a pretty ordinary performance. Had we taken both those dropped catches I think we would have done alright. Agha Salman bowled 20 overs which essentially mean we are relying very heavily on our batting.
