I totally agree with Mark Taylor. While every will talk about Bumrah’s bowling , I am totally impressed with his captaincy and the way he is able to read the game. When he won the Toss he could have easily decided to bowl ( given that India were just thrashed in India by New Zealand, were predicted to lose 5-0 by most media , including Ricky Ponting , Everyone says Australia has a good record in this stadium in Perth, but he makes his decision based on his reading of the pitch deteriorating as the days go by , so makes the decision to bat first knowing it won’t start well for India. Good leaders don’t follow the Noise. And him telling Harshit to wrap up the game with Virat nearing his century , shows he is more concerned about the game and not over rawed by Virat Kohli’s milestone, as important as it was fir Kohli and India. Bumrah is the New Team Captain with Foresight that India needs.

I disagree with Mark Taylor’s statement. 20-30 runs short did not really would have made any difference if Kohli was out in 80s or 90s and India declared @500. Milestones do matter if it does not then just check statement of Ponting in couple days back. You people in one hand criticize him for the personal milestones and on another hand play saint. Such double standards. But now he got that century he will be mentally fit and feel good. This is going to be game changer for India not only in this match but in the entire series. Kohli back to form and a confident Kohli is very dangerous and not a good sign for Australia. His century may not be important for this match but is very very important for the series.
