As an Aussie, our team always does our country so proud. All of the players genuinely seem to relish the opportunity and want to play for each other - they all seem to grow an extra 6 inches in international tournaments. They work hard and they play smart and to their strengths. So good to see. Unfortunately we will be in Pool Of Death in the Olympics. I know the US is a FAR more talented team and not suggesting they need to learn anything from the aussies but it’s a good wake-up call for them. The good teams won’t be intimidated - they will come at the US and rise to the occasion. US be ready.

I think the rotation strategy in the 1st half was brilliant from Kerr & Co. It’s better to keep the distinction between starters & bench so they can get more reps together. Our 2nd unit is clearly better defensively and allows us to maintain or extend our leads. Unless we get into foul trouble we should keep the 2 units separate for better chemistry.

Do you watch basketball, or are you just here for the Olympics? Tyrese Halliburton is a bad one on one defender. He isn’t strong, and has bad instincts. The announcers never said he was good. His impact is on offense. The Pacers had the second best offense this year, and a bottom 10 defense. And that’s with two great defenders, Siakam and Myles Turner, on the team. Halli is one of the best PGs on earth, but he’s objectively a bad defender.

Yeah, survived. They squandered a huge lead and with the way it was going, it appears they won because the time ran out. Given 5-10 more minutes, Australia would've continued closing the gap and eventually overtook U.S.

This is was OKC expected out from Giddey after he carried team Australia in the World Cup more reason why they didn't bench Giddey because they were betting he would breakout of that slump also he had a hard time fitting in since SGA, Chet, JDub & Lu Dort can shoot he needed to adjust to a new role but since his jumpshot is still in development and not a reliable shooter yet he cannot play off the ball but when all SGA and JDub are off the floor he shines immediately with the ball in his hands since he has always thrive in that role plus the off court drama/issue didn't hime as well he was having a hard time hopefully he gets that restart or fresh start with Chicago @@aaronpeters6209

Friendlies are hard to judge. Our 4th place team in last year's World Cup was undefeated in friendlies, including beating Germany who then beat us when it counted. On the other hand our gold medal Olympic team from 2021 lost it's first two friendlies to Australia and...Nigeria! And then the Nigerian team was not able to win a single game in the Olympics, not even against a weak German team with no Schroeder or Franz Wagner.
