I have studied from model school, sec 35, Chd. & not taught Punjabi there. Only as an optional subject, i studied Punjabi for a year. If you really love punjabi language then first of all go to education minister of punjab, beat him/her with your shoes & then ask him/her why punjabi is not a compulsary subject in schools? How can one read Guru Granth Sahib, if you are illiterate in punjabi?

कोई भारतीय जो मर्ज़ी भाषा बोले, यह उसका दायित्व है। जबरदस्ती गल्त है। इस लड़की को पंजाबी अचछी लगती है तो ठीक है कोई आपति नही लेकिन मुझ जैसे पंजाब में रहने वाले को आपनी राष्ट्रीय भाषा हिन्दी अच्छी लगती है। भाषा, रंगभेद आदि के नाम पर कोई जबरदस्ती या विभाजन नही होना चाहिए।
