how could you have listened to this as a baby , 12 years ago this was 40 years ago i respect your love for the music but.. the math doesn't make sense
@martinkuliza4 жыл бұрын
@drag0nfly_girl Because... 1. The song is 40 years old 2. His comment is 10 MONTHS old 3. in that comment he said he was 12 4. Therefore he would have been a baby 11-12 years ago again... the song is 40 years old 30 years before his time is that unclear in anyway ?
@martinkuliza4 жыл бұрын
@drag0nfly_girl Actually no i didn't miss your point but.. YOU ARE MISSING CONTEXT because your point is like saying that same 12 year old you listened to Cathy's Clown 12 years ago when you were hypothetically a baby Now... Cathy's clown hasn't been heard since the late 70's perhaps early 80s does it exist today............. well technically YES does anyone listen to it FUCK NO does anyone listen to this today........... FUCK NO when did it go out well.. lets say 90s, possibly early 2000 so... off the air for at least 20 years hence it disappeared off the air 7 year before his birth so.... how are you missing the point ? or do you just want me to accept a super super technicality that... IT EXISTS Ok.. i'll accept it IT EXISTS but that can only be accepted on the grounds that you completely ignore the obvious context of my original comment i mean, if we are going to do that then if i was to ask you .... How are you going ? you would have to reply "In order to know how i'm going i would need to know where i'm going" because TECHNICALLY that's correct as opposed to doing the normal human reaction and just saying YEAH.. I'M GOING FINE, THANKS and understanding THE CONTEXT in which the question was asked so.. yeah... out of context IT TECHNICALLY EXISTS in context, it doesn't make sense how he would have listened to it hence WHY I ASKED DOES THAT MAKE SENSE NOW
@martinkuliza4 жыл бұрын
@drag0nfly_girl LOL 1. it's clear you are CHOOSING to completely ignore what i'm saying, i mean if you can say what you said about cathy's clown then you ... are ignoring my point 2. but... isn't this very interesting..... You are behaving in a very typical psychological manner..... The steps go like this.. a)First you put down your point b) then if the other person doesn't accept it , you insult them c) Then after you're satisfied with your insult you will take the position of "The good guy" in an attempt to elevate yourself d) Then in an attempt to demean the other person further (in an attempt to elevate yourself further you'll offer the other person SUPPOSED Advice Look Point a) You've already put down your point in the last few posts and up to that point everything was fine Point b) Here is where you SET IT UP (as if i don't listen to music from all era's) "I listen to music from ALL eras, & I probably do so PRECISELY because my parents raised me with music of all eras" and now.. you could have left it at that, but.. Because you are following a psychological path there is a great desire in you that compels you to now insult me and.... voila... "Just because you have incredibly narrow habits doesn't mean you can assume everyone else is the same. " YOU GOTTA LOVE PSYCHOLOGY , DON'T YOU ? :P but wait it doesn't stop there Point c) You need to keep insulting me a few times and usually the insults with increase with every passing insult Watch we have... I'm INCREDIBLY Narrow minded then.. "You have absolutely no grounds for accusing someone of lying when they say they listened to this song twelve years ago." To which i will quickly say...... BUT.. I DIDN'T, You chose to believe i did Just like you CHOOSE to ignore my simple point See the pattern here What i actually said was this.... (for the record) "how could you have listened to this as a baby , 12 years ago this was 40 years ago i respect your love for the music but.. the math doesn't make sense" There's a big difference between what i said and What you assumed i said , which probably looks more like this "You're a fucking liar how could you have listened to this as a baby" I mean.. I wasn't rude I showed respect i gave reasoning for my comment and yet... YOU IGNORED ALL THAT Funny how you keep ignoring what you don't want anyway.. let's move forward then , just when i think you're done with the insults you come out with this " narrow-minded fool." and then i figure, you're done now... but NO NO.. We then have this... " logically & socially challenged" LOL and now Point d ) " so I'll just stop here. However, I strongly suggest you broaden your musical horizons a little... there's centuries of great music out there, from many different cultures. You're missing out on a lot." will you now ? So after all that insult, YOU'LL STOP HERE huh ? LMFAO How kind of you huh ? and then THE SUPPOSED ADVICE See... Step by Step , predictable as hell Now.. at the end of the day , do you know what all this psych rubbish means ? it's the behaviour of someone WHO FABRICATES THEIR OWN SELF IMAGE TO BE SUPERIOR TO THAT OF ANOTHER PERSON IT IS USUALLY DONE AS A RESULT OF THAT PERSON LACKING SOMETHING IN THEIR LIFE AND THEREFORE THERE IS A NEED TO FILL THAT VOID UNTIL THE SITUATION IS RECTIFIED I'll give you an example ...... Say some girl is a prostitute, ok and say she's a filthy whore who will suck 50 dicks a day and fuck any guy no matter how dirty he is and she charges $10 for a blow job and $20 for a fuck, ok so.... She knows she's on a low level (and.. it is what it is ) but then she'll do something like this (as a result of the PAIN she is feelilng) she will justify your status to herself and elevate herself UP so she might say something like "I'm beautiful on the inside" or she might take the approach where she says to herself "That guy is 10x worse than me, he does this and that and so on" and this is done until the prostitute sorts her life out and leaves prostitution for let's say.... A secretarial role in a big company where she is on $80k a year at which point she can deal with the problems of her past because she can hang onto the fact that she now has IMPROVED her situation see how that works ? You are clearly lacking something (and.. that's fine, everyone lacks something) but.. i also (for the record) to be blunt, found your last post really fucking stupid DID I TELL YOU YOU WERE A FUCKING IDIOT ?.... NO I DIDN'T and i'm just telling you now to show you something i could have also lashed out, but i chose not to do that to another person. You however..... well... it's already been said so there you go mate VERY NICE as for your advice I'd have to be a complete idiot to take advice from someone who a) insults me b) Can't control themselves enough so as to not insult others c) Chooses to ignore obvious points d) Takes what someone says and re-interprets it and then presents it as fact so..... Sorry, i reject your advice because it's not coming from a credible source Now.. AS FOR LISTENING TO MUSIC OF ALL ERA'S and watch how this works 1. NO ONE LISTENS TO MUSIC FROM ALL ERA'S it's not possible and i can prove instantly that you don't either, i'ts the easiest fucking thing in the world to do i could very easily pick some song from 1720 for example and i would bet that you don't listen to it to this you would might reply something like "but martin, that's not what i mean, i meant 50's 60s 70s and so on" to which i would reply "I know, it's an obvious point isn't it ? A POINT WHICH I'M SUPPOSED TO PICK UP ON, Just like YOU were supposed to pick up on mine, but since you are being technically correct, then, i''ll do the same, so when you say you listen to music of ALL ERA'S i'll take it like that and say that you don't " so this right there proves your wrong Now.. am i trying to put you down ? NO, I'M JUST SHOWING YOU SOMETHING let's now address your point FOR WHAT IT SHOULD BE you listen to music from all era's ok, Great...... AND... SO DO I (i think the fact that i mentioned Cathy's clown kinda should show you that) but again.... you are the sort of person that CHOOSES to ignore things that don't work in your favour but.. after all this , YOU KNOW WHAT IT BOILS DOWN TO THIS...... 1. i didn't insult the O.P. i asked a question and i gave reasoning for it, in short, i wasn't a dickhead, i just asked for an explanation and for the record, the O.P. never replied (not that they have to ) 2. I also listen to Music from a variety of Era's, I pride myself on it , as a fact but.. i don't go prancing around saying "I Listen to music from all era's" to make myself sound superior 3. We were having a conversation and then you just decided that you're going to be insulting and superior When this happens a conversation is over OK SO... THAT'S IT i'll now take my narrow minded fool and logically and socially challenged person and i'll stop talking to you ok BECAUSE YOU'RE NOW A WASTE OF TIME Rude people are a waste of time Logical people are worth talking to Have yourself a nice day one day , Likely, you'll fixed your shortfalls and you'll look back on this and understand that you had a few problems in your life Until that time, I was a coping mechanism for you GLAD I COULD HELP :P

I left my heart back in the orient Down on Bali bays It's not the way that I should feel But it's the way I'm going to stay Lonely, lonely Chasing you all round the world Wrong way, wrong way You took a heart, took a heart too young Downhearted Broken dreams that never really started Downhearted Broken dreams that never really start It seems all wrong back here at home There's no end in sight Should I be made to drag you through This lovers endless fight If only, if only You'd take me as I am Strong arm, strong charm You took a heart, took a heart too young Sometimes I think that we should stay Happy on the farm Sometimes I think that I'll give it all away This love and all its charm Downhearted Broken dreams that never really started Downhearted Broken dreams that never really start

Downhearted in 2020 I guess...A real radio track here that never gets old after some 40 years....Wonder if we'll ever get this type of music back?! Probably not...Timeless.

For some reason I've always thought this was by a American band and it's bloody Australian Crawl, I'm a Kiwi and this is hands down Australian music at its finest.

Caught this right on the day of its airing on Radio Australia in 1980, hunched all over my big box valve radio for the daily Top10 Countdown by John Anderson...Reckless too...still have one of the many notebooks I used to jot down the daily charts on RADAUS...so many awesome bands and singles from the Great Southern Land!
