As an Aussie, I’d highly recommend vegemite on toast with avocado and a squeeze of lemon juice. The avo mellows out the vegemite and adds at least 1 health star lol.

Vegemite goes great on toast with some butter or just a cheese and Vegemite sandwich. It was good to see someone who doesn't spread it an inch thick though. You see so many Americans spread it an inch thick and they wonder why their faces turn inside out.

Tim Tam suck is best with coffee, try the vegemite with cheese slice on toast with butter for a milder taste. minties can be hard as a rock in winter or melty if you left them in the sun, they become more chewable after they've been in your mouth a while. this was pretty interesting to watch as an Aussie (pronounced ozzy), so I hope you get some others like this. i think New Zealand have Marmite(like vegemite but worse lol)

People always say how bad Vegemite tastes but they use it wrong. You use just a smear, the barest amount of it. I love it but even I can't stand a spread of it that's too thick. Also, put a spoonful of it into your boiling rice. Not only does it give it a nice brown colour but it also gives it the taste of Soy Sauce.

Man, that never gets old! Feeding Vegemite to Americans gets the same reaction as us Down Under blokes being fed your weak and watery beer! I'm no Ocker - I'm a Kiwi, but the taste sensation known as Vegemite is sold here too. It's not something you can be on the fence about - you either love it or hate it....and I'm a big fan. I'm surprised you blokes liked the Cherry Ripe as she's an acquired taste too, but everything else was pretty middle-of-the-road, so I'm glad you liked them.....and the viewer who sent them to you picked real well - especially the chicken salt. I also like garlic salt on chips - and yes, we DO call them chips. Fries are silly little thin things that are about the thickness of string. They are strange food items that have no actual potato content when you bite into them and they are usually only ever found in fast food outlets of American origin. Not a huge fan if I am honest as there is enough fat in the burgers.....which often taste like they were cooked in the same vat as the fries. Yeah, Minties are something you sit in your mouth for abut 30 seconds to soften before moving between your teeth and trying to chew on. Yes, they can indeed remove fillings from teeth - especially old amalgam-based ones. Don't ask me how I know.... Thanks for videoing this little taste-athon. Had me eyes watering with laughter at the reactions. All the best with future 'care packages'!

You'd be surprised to know that there are more beers in America than the one or two you and your mates have tried from the local bottle-o . Just like there are more Australian beers than just Foster's. As a person that's lived in both countries, America has a far wider selection of full strength (and higher) craft, and domestic beers than you could ever imagine.
@KiwiStag74 Жыл бұрын
@@timswansson1955 - Oh, I'm quite well aware of the number of beers - especially small-volume craft beers - available in ANY country and have had the pleasure of sampling a few over the years. If you actually open both eyes when you read, it helps you to actually see what's been written down, mate. Then it's only down to a couple of waterlogged brain cells to comprehend the meaning and correlate the comparison between one and the other....although I freely admit that it does take a sense of humour to find it funny. Let's try another one and see how we get on, eh? Fosters is the only beer that comes back out stronger than when you drink it!

Aussie here. You MUST try Vegemite the way we have it to enjoy it. Hot toast. Liberally spread with butter or margarine, then a thin spreading of Vegemite. About the size of your dime to nickel on the end of the knife. Watch the Jimmy Fallon and Hugh Jackman interview where Hugh gets Jimmy to try Vegemite the Aussie way, and see his reaction. Trust me, a whole country doesn't eat Vegemite in the quantities that we do, for as long as we have, for no reason. It's amazing if consumed the right way, awful if not. You just have to find the right way for you. We all have to! Keep up the amazing content. Love the PBG content. You're hilarious!

With Vegemite or Marmite its important to know that its not only a bit weird to the unaquired tastebuds its also very very salty. If you never had it try it like a chili sauce - very carefull at first. You can always add more. My rule of thumb: spread it so thin on butter that its brown and not black. Also, a jar might seem a bit expensive but its actually not because it lasts forever, even if you like it.

"In 1919, following the disruption of British Marmite imports after World War I, the Australian company Fred Walker & Co. gave Cyril Callister the task of developing a spread from the used yeast being dumped by breweries. Callister had been hired by the chairman Fred Walker.[6] Callister used autolysis to break down the yeast cells from waste obtained from the Carlton & United brewery. Concentrating the clear liquid extract and blending with salt, celery and onion extracts formed a sticky black paste."
