I think it was more so Mike saying not to worry that her fingers were stood on, it came off sounding like it didn't matter when the gladiators were hurt. Especially when he followed it up after that with saying that she wouldn't care if it were the other way around. Because the gladiators did care when contestants got hurt, and Blade was there with the contestants & concerned every time they were hurt coming off of hang tough, which happened quite a few times.
