I'm commenting a bit old video, but I hadn't seen this before... At 8:53 the town name was clearly visible and I shouted to youi in my mind: "Jokkmokk in Northern Sweden!". Of course the fact that I understand the language helped me a little too much. At 16:00 that was clear that it was Finland from the first second. Solid side lines on a relatively narrow road without middle lines. That kind of a road would have 3 meter dashed lines in Norway. Also there was a Finnish style sign visible near to that truck. Actually after several seconds I recognized that exact location. It's next to a museum bridge in Tuupovaara. 62.5278071N, 30.4843008E on road 495.

Lapland is region in Finland, associated mainly with legend of Santa Claus or province in Sweden
@zi8gzag3 жыл бұрын
Right, there are laplands in both, makes sense as to why i was confused.

Exactly. Every European child knows that Santa lives in Lapland

@@boskee i have never heard of the lapland region in finland even if i have been to rovaniemi a few times. But i have droven my car from Övertorneå every time so i havent really cared about the geography of finland. I just went to the nearest town with a macdonalds. This was like 20 years ago.

7:43 Not too far from my home ahah These weird rectangumar dots on the road are typical french backroads. The telephone poles with their black pointed caps on them too.

2:56 it is not right in Madrid, it even is in another autonomous community (~200km north), but close enough for our purposes, good guess. I would have guessed in Asturias

Nice video, I got to know your channel today and I've already subscribed. I loved the videos. Europe for me is the worst continent, I always miss my country streak...

How did you get Malta? You didn't zoom in close enough to read the signs.

Surely S America is more difficult? Most of its countries are Spanish-speaking, so it's difficult to distinguish between them.

If you know metas but also the landscape then it becomes so free (since Europe has very similar looking places just about everywhere - north western Croatia on Slovenian border looks like southern France and I got screwed on that so many times and never got Croatia on a country streak on nmpz or even nm) Mexico is the only northern hemisphere country so you can easily look at the sun (Colombia has yellow license plates, Colombia and Ecuador with north west Brazil have very tropical climates) Peru has purely sandy and mountainous climate except the very northern west being a complete flat land) Argentina and chile have distinctive poles and chile also is the only country to use all white road lines so (really not that bad) and Uruguay has very distinctive archery bow looking pole top) Bolivia is either very deserty or green and very cloud for most rounds Meta and geographic landscape are the two factors for southern america Meta and landscape are the main things required

How do you guess what country it is from lines on the road? A continuous line just tells you that you cant overtake there in the whole world.
@zi8gzag3 жыл бұрын
Oops, just realised that this was on the EU video! Many countries use different sized dashes / unbroken lines. These clues can be inconsistent tho!
