@@Psybo then did they never have any emergency plans? or neighbours who could have helped her. Sorry but it seems strange . I understand she is grieving, but weird to be doing an interview so soon after loosing her son. Not saying anything or insinuating anything. I worked with people with cerabal palsy and other disabilities in community in their own homes group homes and independant as an RN and am perplexed that the moment an evacuation or orange alert (the one down from the red )that you would not get help to ensure your son was helped to reach safety. In all the places i worked in disability community fire plans emergency evacuation plans were set up even in parents caring or independant living situations. So glad I do not live in USA

People here are FURIOUS and speaking out NOW because it needs to be heard NOW what the governor and his minions did to the state. No water in the fire hydrants destroyed people. Same thing happened in Lāhainā, Maui… no water in the fire hydrants. No real help for the North Carolina hurricane victims after that place was annhihalated. When this stuff happens in the USA you have to call it out RIGHT AWAY… because in two weeks you’ll be forgotten about. Let this grieving mother do what she has to do without criticism.

My heart is breaking ..no one should be put through such a devastating loss…no one should have to bury their child…I’m speaking from experience..you never get over it, you never get closer, you just learn to live with the memories and try to live as best you can..but the sorrow and loss always remains a heartache..I just hope she finds comfort when she remembers her beloved Rory.

So terribly sad whenever lives are lost but when ... these deaths have occurred because of inadequacy then it cetainly bears so much more heartache. Investigations once the smoke has gone would not be necessary had the facilities been equipped sufficiently. If the governors cannot find the money to fill the tanks then they certainly are too evil.
