Everytime you watch content from DW or "Deutsche Welle", which is the full name of DW, you have to keep in mind that this is basically the German government speaking to you. All Germans have a subscription they can't cancel, called the "Rundfunkbeitrag". You get a monthly bill of about 30 Australian dollars to fund the state media. If you refuse to pay, you get fined, if you keep refusing to pay, you go to prison. And most of the state media channels are extremely left wing. DW for example is very, very, very left wing. So be careful, everything they release has a certain intent.
