The title of the video is not quite right, because it has less to do with the sirens. You have to form a rescue lane as soon as a traffic jam occurs.

Cheers! I was serving for 10 years as a volunteer Fireman in Germany, made it to Troopleader with Compressed Air first respond qualification (Truppführer mit Atmenschutz). This is how it should be, since the "Emergency Lane" or "Rettungsgasse" is mandatory on the Autobahn. The drivers on the very left lane have to drive to the Side, all the other have to move to the right as much as possible. But there are always Problems. And sometimes people are just stupid, thats it. Some People say, that there is another "lane" on the far left, but this is only for Vehicles, that had a malefunktion and need to get out of the way, its also not always as wide as you can see here. And its often not that much taken care off

On the motorway you have to form an "escape lane" if a vehicle with special signs (martinshorn and flashing lights) approaches. If you don't do it, it's at least a misdemeanor. If someone dies as a result of misconduct, for example: If an ambulance doesn't reach the scene of the accident, you can get into more trouble. A prison sentence would theoretically be possible.

This is just how it should be worldwide. Just create an emergency lane straight when it comes to a traffic jam, cause chance is big, if the reason is an accident, that the ambulance, the police or/and fire trucks needs to go through there as fast as possible. That's just logical. Don't understand why it isn't standard worldwide 🤯🫣
