Known as the Kahawai here in NZ, beautiful smoked or used in fish curry or raw fish (sushi) very under rated but delicious if used properly

Catch, bleed we’ll and cook the same day. Prefer to baked in the oven in foil and it’s delicious. Local commercial fisherman cooks them roadside in batter and absolutely fantastic. Love hearing people bag the Australian salmon. Those who know, know better

Nice. I have not caught any. I bought this one from the market and some viewers said it looked not fresh. The colour of the meat is dark and dull .
@bradcolley2391 Жыл бұрын
Bro this is no good, that fish you got from the market hadn't been bled and looked well over a day old. The flesh looks like actual tinned salmon when it came off the fish.
@corneliusoutdoors Жыл бұрын
True. Very true. Could have frozen and thawed. The flesh was mushy mushy. I wish I can get a fresh one. Sea fishing is not my thing.

I would love that too but I am not good in ocean fishing. I grew up in Borneo’s highlands. I am only comfortable with rivers and creeks. The introduction in this video is from another channel.

@@corneliusoutdoors When you fish rivers and streams, your casts have to be really accurate, and you must know what fish are eating! In the ocean it is a lot easier.
