Loving the Aussie Vlogs! i have dug a pond (4 by 2 m) i had to dig it square without shelfs but was wondering if i want to rebuild them with wet sand to get the shelfs back before to liner or should i lay the liner and build the shelfs back with rocks and pebbles? just thinking to much pebbles equals to much bacteria ? i really want this finished but struggling to find answers

I'm in the same boat. I dug a big pond but not with enough shelves for a rock in. I'm ready to make the pond smaller by building in behind the liner. Also not sure what to build it with.

I saw the elephant ear in the pond. I planted some in my wetlands filter and it has grown so much that the roots have made a solid layer that the water cannot pass through. How to keep these plants from taking over the filter is my question.

Just like with perennials, you need to divide and thin them out from time to time.
