@santosh thapa Hit with consistent depth as to not let Jess anywhere near the baseline, mix it up with different kinds of balls to disrupt Jpeg's rhythm, come forward at every opportunity (14/20 net points won), and serve well (this one is the most challenging as Vika's serve is not reliable these days but it was solid in this match).

pegula has atrocious accuracy. When its even she just sends it up the middle. Vika was so masterful in her usage of pace spin and guile while also finding serves when she needed to and dictating play. so so soooo good.

Wow. Azarenka is always dangerous deep in a slam but I didn't see this one happening. Thought Jess would still take her. Azarenka played great but Jess should have came in behind more of her shots and forced Vika to pass her. Jess very classy in defeat. I'm a huge fan of hers.

She has also beaten Badosa, Ostapenko, Guaff, Jabeur, Garcia, and Kvitova within the last two years. Why are you acting as if Azarenka will all of a sudden have an issue handling the pace of shot? Shocking result. Pegula didn't learn from her mistake at the YEC. There she played both SGLs and DBLs and lost every single match. Here she played SGLs, DBLs *and* Mixed DBLs!
