1:38 - When I volunteered at the zoo back in 2006 I was working at the farm animal section and sure enough Steve drove up on that bike with Bindi and Robert to check out the animals for a few minutes. It was early morning and the zoo wasn't open yet so almost nobody was around. It was so surreal. Just lucky timing and so cool to see them in person. :D

Steve did that a lot too! If you look for pictures of a younger Steve, you'd think Robert is a clone. And according to Terri and Bindi, Robert somehow acts almost exactly like his father, even though he was only two years old when Steve passed.

This is proof in my mind that some passions are in our genetics. Robert is so much like Steve when it comes to animals. I know he was raised with it, but you can truly tell its in his heart too. I also love how much this channel and the zoo still pay homage to Steve all these years later. He was a special man and his family haas really continued his cause so well.

When I was working in a group home a few years ago, a snake came crawing in and wrapped himself into a rope like prosition, under the christmas tree, we kept the tree up year round for our disable residents to enjoy. The snake was there for several days before someone realize it was a small snake. Got a good laugh over the snake under the tree. A couple times a frog got in.
