@@thediamondfighterusa5453 He was a trained professional who loved animals, and sought to educate others about them to the best of his ability, he was a hero to many kids who love and respect animals, and your "no wonder he died" is both a stupid and insensitive statement, he died in an extremely random attack from the normally docile stingray, which aren't usually even that deadly when agitated, unless you're unfortunate enough to have them pierce a vital organ, in his case his heart. It was the LAST animal that anyone expected to kill him while he was out there, but even if a croc had been the one to finally get him, that wouldn't have stopped him from doing what he loved. He wasn't stupid, and lived a life that was probably a hundred times more exciting, rewarding, and gratifying than anything you've ever done or likely ever will. so kindly shut it.

Anyone who knows or has met him (had the privilege of meeting him at Australia Zoo when I was young) or seen his shows knows he absolutely loved animals, he even did a few series if I'm not mistaken on the preservation of specific animals. It was a very sad day when he died, that said he died doing what he enjoyed which was showing us all the beauty of wild animals. Bloody disgusting what those pricks at PETA are doing.

I believe it was called a lifetime of training around these deadly snakes and others that allowed him to approach them in that fashion. If you notice he generally told people to not do as he did, he was trained professional. When I was still rescuing reptiles, I would handle most of the snakes with just taking them gently by the tail, except or two rattlesnakes species.
