Well, he is just about the coolest and best wild conservationist on this planet. He unfortunately passed away on September the 4th 2006 but he died doing what he loved: working with animals. BASICALLY HE IS A TRUE LEGEND.

Looks awesome! You guys did a fantastic job on the new entrance! I'm so happy that Steve is still a big part of it. I'll have to come visit again one day, I have fond memories of my time volunteering at Australia Zoo back in 2006. I even got to see Steve riding around on his dirt bike with Bindi & Bob!

Wow, that's so cool! I also love the connotations that are hidden within the entrance's infrastructure! I'm sure that Steve would have said "CRIKEY!" if he saw it! Great job Australia Zoo!

The new entrance looks great. hope to visit from Canada again soon. Was there in Dec of 2007 and was an awesome zoo.
