Very interesting. It's nice to see that OS still has a top notch dining service. I used to fly to Moscow in the 80s and, when I was lucky, I got an OS air ticket. Even in coach class, a delicious hot meal was served in white pottery plates, with Mozartkuegeln as a gorgeous end.

Showing my age here, but I flew on Austrian when they were still called Lauda! I enjoyed my 20+ hour flights immensely and they fed passengers a lot of chocolate desserts. But just six years later in 2002, they had been absorbed by Austrian Airlines and although the food was okay, the sense of fun from the young crew was gone. It was very business-like. One other memory was the range of Lindt and Mozart chocolates at Vienna Flughafen, varieties unknown in Australia, and I bought a ton of rare chocolates home in my suitcase.

Hi Luxury Travel Expert, I really did enjoy earlier today, watching your latest video, from the airport to boarding to all around the luxury plane. Wished I was there, but you done that so well, giving me and the viewers an insight into whats it like to fly luxury. At 28:50, you can see beautiful Corps de Garde Mountain on the left and on the right Candos Hill. In between you seeing mostly Quatre Bornes Town and parts of Vacoas - Phoenix Town. Far behind, especially behind Corps de Garde Mountain is Beau Bassin - Rose Hill Town. Port Louis, you just get a glimpse of it. Beautiful Lion Mountain at 30:30 in the right behind.

Hi, very nice and great new year!! How about that 777 Emirates next to you. And did you hear that beautiful buzzsaw tune from that engine? Powerful base. Wondering how the upcoming 777-8 and 9's engines sound like. Their engines fan blades are wider in diameter and should have a deeper base tune than the current ones. Very very nice. I think the staff do their best, I know its a budget business flight and looks very cramped in the feet area. As they put 6 seats across rather than 4 across like singapore airlines, with their lovely 1 - 2 - 1 configuration. I am flying with Austria next week and not really looking forward to it due to the packing in of seats, but it was cheaper :-(. Serves me right for being a cheapskate I guess.

Great vlog as usual. Sad to say the lounge reminded me it the escape lounge at Stansted UK, but with a bit better food. The best thing I can say bout the Escape lounge in Stansted is when you Escape. Now the seating I didn't like the layout. Food was just about ok for a 10 hour flight. Only hope that as you say it will improve in the summer. Whatever I won't be rushing to fly with them anytime soon.

I found the ocean in Mauritius cold. It's a nice island but I prefer the Caribbean. The Austrians know how to eat. The food looks good. In economy it's good but the portions are tiny.

Always pay attention to the flight crew. You may need their help. Their training may save your life. We even got a second briefing when leaving Darwin for the second time. Bird ingestion in both engines sent us straight back after a brief fuel dump. My attention was in heightened mode.

The "servus" marketing seems a bit misguided to me. Who outside of the small German speaking world knows that using "servus" as a greeting is a typical Austrian (and Bavarian) thing? I guess they want to have it be like the Austrian version of the Hawaiian/Polynesian "Aloha", but it doesn't work the same way internationally.

One of the worst buffets I have ever experienced in a lounge. Also, the lounge is way way worse than the Vienna lounge which would be IMO the flagship lounge of Vienna airport. Flying Austrian on board always feels nice, but when you land or before you depart outside Austria, you always feel like an outsider.

It amazes me that people forget that the point of an airline is to get you safely from point A to point B. If it’s a five-star meal you’re looking for, go to a five-star restaurant-and ask them to fly you halfway around the world and see how far you get.

I remembered list time Expert in Lufthansa business video, they provided recycled bag as amenity kit. I did not expected here use Lufthansa reusable tote bag as amenity kit; 1st of all it is not Austrian Airlines brand, 2nd Austrian Airlines branded in red and white for cabinet and lounges follow their national flag, but reusable tote bag is blue, it is a contrast and Austrian Airline should do better on these details. I find their food display pretty unique, in a triangular plates, and I guess the Main course in really Austrian dishes, this is pretty good.
