Got to do another Euro trip in 2022.... on the bike, after watching this, damn it you buggers, more expense 🤣 I use to drive the car, back and forth, across Europe to where I was living near Bologna Italy all the time since 2015, I began to hate German motorways always .. road works, road, works.... double bloody road works, hopefully it's better now, last time I went South of Luxembourg, which was better to Munich and down through the Brenner... Roll on 2022 and post Covid freedom to travel again. 🤞 👍

IMHO it works better with a 16T front (or perhaps +2 on the rear a good compromise) as feels over geared in stock...1st for hairpins and not pulling 6th below 80mph isn't ideal. You're right about the seat, alot more comfortable than it looks.

Q. How did you Shield the Seat from the Heat of the Engine.? It's a Pain in the Arrs after about an hour. Tried the Aluminum Heat 'Roofing' Insulation but that didn't work. Love the Bike but definitely not the Engine Heating up the Seat... I prefer my Eggs 'Uncooked' and the HEAT from this Engine definitely Boils them after only an hour or less of riding. Definitely need better Insulation. Maybe an Aluminum Heat Shield inside my Pants... KTM 'HELP'...

What's weird about the Duke is my Multistrada doesn't have that crazy engine braking. The Multi is crazy smooth, most of the time I forget I'm on a 1200 twin, until I actually crank the throttle and the world starts spinning faster.

Marios Margaritis i hva my exsperance i.we done 60000 kilomerter be4 i ran on that oil spot and i had many close calls and now the road let me down becouse of oil .. i know the limitasions of my bike and i was not neer them the oil crashed me and naw i am afrayd of those long fast curves and i lost the confidance to rely go fast on them ...

horizontal120 I hear u, still at 60k km u are just starting, that was 30 years ago for me and I do remember the uncertainty I felt after a crash. You can do very little with oil spils and such, hence you get your protection gear on at all times, then you accept the risk an continue ridding. The best of luck to you on the road.
