RSV charging/starting systems are notoriously shit - and the clutch slave seals are touch and go , but new pattern part upgrades solve all the problems. Though I'm pretty sure he knows all this having owned a couple of sorted ones. When I got mine I had to carry a can of easy start, now it starts on the button even when the temps drop below zero. They run nice and cool though - I reckon that R1 is going to have a problem staying cool being razzed around a desert. My bollox to a barn dance the Ape's front tyre is under inflated. As soon as it drops below ~30 it's super noticeable on them, it lives on it's nose.

I tried the pillion on one of these (sat still) after my little missus decided that she could handle the riding position on it.. I was shocked at how stable it felt. That was 2017 .. nice bike.
