The Mona Lisa remains one of the most iconic paintings to have come out of the Renaissance era, especially how it was still being worked on as late as 1517-just two years before Da Vinci's death. Even as the real Lisa del Giocondo survived until 1542 despite not outliving Da Vinci. In terms of this set, the rarest element in it is the 2x2 45-degree corner plate in medium blue, which only appeared in the "Icons" Eiffel Tower (10307) two years ago. As part of the portrait's frame, this set is one of only three to have the standard 1x2 plate in "warm tan". Which first appeared in a Brickheadz set depicting Harry Potter and Cho Chang (40616) released in June of 2023.

Got this one hanging on my wall. I do like the way that you build a frame, "stretch" a canvas and then start layering colour onto the canvas, until the artwork is done. Finally you attach the image to the frame. If I have it right, this would be very similar to what Da-Vinci would have done. Although, I think the frame was constructed last, after Leonardo's passing, I believe (I may very well be wrong on this part).
