35 years ago, as a kid, I build the Eiffel Tower from Lego. It was colourful, it was pixelated, because I only used standard 4x2 bricks, but it was recognizable.

A tip if you want to learn a language faster: set your entire phone in that language… your calender, social media, alarmclock, settings, basically everything will be french for you. Think about it, you pick it up every single day, meaning that even if you don’t want to learn the language anymore, your still forced to do it keeping you motivated ;) i’m doing it with german for the past 3 months and it works like a charm

Lots of these sets look really cool, but then they are symmetrical on four sides, meaning you essentially build the same thing four times. That’s what puts me off personally from these sets.

By comparison, the original set (10181) from 2007 is 1:300 scale to the real thing, being 42 inches tall on several Mata green baseplates. In 2014, a version of the Eiffel Tower was released under the Architecture theme, but it was only one foot tall. This year's version has 6,573 more pieces than the original did and sits on what look to be several road plates in sand yellow. Though I'm not sure what scale it is. Even then, the actual Eiffel Tower is 1,063 feet (or 324 meters) tall, and roughly one tenth of that height is comprised of the flagpole at the very top.

The original tower was designed to be exactly 300 m tall. The flagpole came on top. Today, the tower is taller, due to its conversion to a radio tower. Which actually saved it from destruction.

das modell ist schon geil, aber ich kann damit nichts anfangen schon wegen dem preis was es kostet. ausserdem finde ich das viele bauabschnitte wiederholt werden und das ist langweilig. auch ist er nicht im orginal nachgebaut, es fehlt der fahrstuhl und die treppe. ich weiss wenn man sowas berücksichtig beim planen von der anleitung wird es noch teuerer. ich habe nichts gegen lego habe ein paar modelle denn liebherr bagger in zwei ausführungen einmal orginal und das andere modell mit der schaufel nach hinten. die anleitung musste ich kaufen aber es hatt viel spass gemacht beide modelle zu bauen. beim eifelturm denke ich geht der spass etwas runter finde ich. aber ok wenn sich das welche trauen ihn zu kaufen ist es die ihre sache ich kaufe ihn bestimmt nicht.
