Lego City 7249 for example. Lego keeps on using smaller and smaller parts to inflate the number count drastically and to artificially increase the price as well. Older used Lego sets are the better Lego sets.

It's an awesome set, but there is one thing wrong with the set: When you fold up the crane to move it to a different construction site, the counterweights are removed and the cabine swings to the back of the crane. But then how do you transport the counterweights? This set needs a support truck to carry the counterweights.

Finally, realistic and heavy construction vehicles are back in City theme ! I was starting to think that they wouldn't product that kinfd of sets anymore and they release this. That's perfect. The set seems big, realistic, functional, and well scaled.

It strongly resembles the XXL Crane! That was my first Lego set as a kid, other than previous Duplo sets such as those from the Bob the Builder line. (I still have the set in my collection, albeit it's not fully complete.)

Wow,this set looks amazing and has enough realism to look close enough to a real one at a construction site but still looks like a Lego toy which it is one at the end of the day. I really think this will go down as a Lego classic crane set. ❤ That's awesome how they made the cab of the crane moveable and the counterweights able to be removed for transport. Definitely need to pick this set up!

So ein großer Baukran, das alle Lego Fahrzeuge so groß sind wie der Lego Truck ist echt groß. Aber dafür habe ich den Lego Designern gerne geschrieben, das größere Sets entstehen sollen für größere Kidz und die Straßenplatten wieder abgeschafft werden sollen. Danke Lego das ihr mir immer gern zuhört all die Jahre! 🙂👍 So ist immer auf meine Wünsche eingegangen und entstand ein neues großes Stadtzentrum 60380 entstanden, eine Autowerkstatt usw. Frage mich nur warum ich noch nicht in der Lego City Designabteilung arbeite, mein einziges Problem ich kann nicht so gut Englisch sprechen.

I just purchased this kit. I love every bit of it, it is really a wonderful piece! However, I will be "that guy". If I have to find some shortcomings: 1) so many wheels, so long vehicle and no steering, this crane desperately wants to go straight. I understand that adding a steering mechanism is quite difficult, but still... 2) no real counterweight, the crane is seriously unbalanced. I am considering adding some small steel balls inside the pieces of the counterweight to compensate. 3) the counterweights exceed the footprint, and there is no dedicated way to store them for transportation. This is a pity, in particular because the weight distribution plates can be stored, but the wounterweight can't. Same goes for the control cabin. 4) LEGO gave us a wonderful, big, detailed crane, and gave us a movable toilet as lifting object. Hilarious, but also mildly disappointing. 5) There are 4 minifigures, 2 of which are females. This is utterly unrealistic, as there are no male engineers or construction workers! (Before you tear me apart, this is a joke, it is not meant to offend anyone, as I know myself some female engineers and female construction workers and I am perfectly fine with the minifigures used in this set). Despite my perceived criticism, I still find that this set is gorgeous. The amount of detail, the aestetic solutions, the functionality, the sturdiness, the realism, the proportion, the overall look... This kit is worthy every $ it costs. It is, by far, my best LEGO kit.

Looks like a Liebherr ltm 1750. German engineering at it's best! Only downside of the set is the missing load, the toilet is a joke, these cranes can lift whole bridges!

It probably wouldn't be difficult to add some extra vehicles to help, including some yellow pilot cars, and maybe a fleet of six flatbed (yellow) trucks to haul the cràne weights and accessories.

I have great respect for you as a content creator, and as a Lego builder, but this set has nothing next to the Heavy-duty Tow Truck 42128 which is now a retired product! However I do want to thank you for the review you did on crane, but I will not be buying or building this set! Just, so you know you did everything you could to show us all this crane can do: you did show all that can be done with this set which is a tribute to how good you are with what bricks and Technic's can do, but has it limits! Lego is a fault for making a weak crane Lego has done better in the past with less it looks like Lego is getting lazy and careless were as the Chinese are getting bigger and better only because Lego has lost to the masters of strategy. Lego fell a sleep the Chinese toke the jump that is how life works, and a part of life is knowing when it is time to leave the sinking ship called Lego as if your about to get on the Titanic, but something told you don't, you can be to big to fail; some call this keeping up with the changing times! I have very high standers for Lego because of Lego abilities to have very high standers in the past, and I do accept modeling has limits to what can be done what I do NOT accept is Lego lower their very high standers to the level of trash that is unacceptable, and this where Lego is going, and I will be with Lego when Lego reaches the trash level it is just not in me to that! I did talk to Lego, and Lego decide to not talk to me as you can see here I have not insulted Lego I have giving my reason for distrusting Lego when Lego it was Lego who insulted me, and my intelligence, and has wasted my time something I can never get back! Lego and Trump have a lot in common with each other Trump does care about his people as long as he gets their vote; Lego does not care about their customers as long as Lego gets are money! I no longer RESPECT Lego as a company the CEO is not a nice dude! Yes I am still subscribed to you and I did give you a thumbs up because your video was very helpful I did learn a lot from your work for that reason is why I toke the time to tell how good you are, but I must honest about Lego as to what a major let down Lego has been which is nothing new in my opinion of Lego!

I'm working on a crane for a few years now, and among the hundreds of people I worked with I can count the women I've seen on construction sites on two hands. Just like with the castle and Eldorado Fortress tribute, it gives me the feeling that they just put in females for diversity sake while it's far from realistic. A total contrast to the overall design of the crane and excavator, which is very realistic in both cases I think.

Cranes have wire rope, same as a winch. As the cable is run off a winch it makes sense.
