Austronesian Language Introduction - Saisiyat Tribe - Taiwan

During the 2020 National Indigenous Speech Competition in Nantou County, Taiwan, we interviewed a student from the Saisiyat tribe, who agreed to share a little of her native language. Taiwan has 16 indigenous Austronesian languages that are actually taught in public schools to indigenous students, and they hold language contests to reward and motivate students.

Austronesian language family is the largest spoken language family in South East Asia, Melanesia, Micronesia and the Polynesia. The reason being could be that this language family is easy to learn than the other native languages. For this reason some countries such as Papua New Guinea (Hiri Motu) and Indonesia (Bahasa) are official languages under their constitution of their respective countries. Bahasa and Hiri Motu are members of Austronesian family of languages. It is worth noting that Indonesia and Papua New Guinea have many tribal languages. In Papua New Guinea is about 800 languages according to government's official record. Linguistic experts can elaborate more on the evolution of languages in the South East Asia and the Pacific.

We do use the (') and accent marks (Á) but over the years they have been dropped and even spellings are being changed like (Na sa) turned into (nasa) .these factors makes writing Tagalog a lot harder

@@uglybepis3571 To support Taiwan migration theory, that is the Malays originated from Taiwan, we must first establish that there were sea-going transport ships and vessels originated from Taiwan. This is because Taiwan is an island and they had no such ships to support such theory. Up to 7th century AD, dynastic China did not have such vessels. Trading ships frequenting the earliest Chinas ports were mainly Persians and Malays. So my take is that Taiwan theory is not well supported. I believe that the indigenous Taiwanese are in fact the Malays. It is the reverse of Taiwan Migration theory. And btw, all Austronesian islanders came from Asias mainland, not the other way around.
