I purchased a bicycle in an AE hoodie. The salesman said "hey I like autechre too." While finalizing the transaction, they put on 'Chiastic Slide' for me. I rode away remembering I could've requested a different song but it didn't strike me. Reminds me of when I was on hold, calling for a taxi in Austin texas, and the waiting music was 'lowride' by ae. I was shrooming! good times.

I went in there in person, downstairs into their shop to talk to the guy who sold me the bike. We looked at your comment. They didn't write it and found it odd/mysterious. Before moving here I had dreams about visiting a place with my parents, that they'd purchased an apartment, of a weird inlay dark black framed entrance in a brick building. Not very luxurious-looking in the dream or anything, and I don't have a wealthy family. About 6 years ago when I first rode past that building it really stuck out in my mind (the building front) so I looked for matching door inlets and saw that weird kinda hipster shop. I figured I would cross paths with it, but didn't until maybe 5 years later. This is the same doorway you're making a pun about. Cheers to that.

I understand why someone wouldn't like the later albums in comparison because there was a significant shift in style after Tri Repetae. I personally prefer the first few albums too though I find many tracks from their later work fantastic as well. Exai was great, probably my most listened to Autechre album after the first three.

@@IAmKrow I had to relisten to them to recognize them from their titles. Under BOAC is good, and Arch Carrier is top notch. I still think rpeg - which was my first intro to Autechre - is my all-time favourite (from ep7). Amazon recommended ep7 way back in the day to me since I loved Orb, Orbital, Boards of Canada, and many others. I bought it and was thinking, "WTF is this noise?" and returned it. Then a year later, it just "clicked" in my head and I wanted to hear it again. Been an Autechre fan since. I'd say the only artists I like consistently better than Autechre are Stereolab.

The delay totally explains how reflections work, and the way this universe creates itself constantly, so that there is a void of nothingness for there to be something. Once again you prove that Autechre fans are not stupid...:) There is an idea that blows my mind which is this: The illusion of time is due to our soul mopving through parralel universes...each universe is static but moving from one to the other - a process that occurs by sympathetic refelection - ie you move to the universe that resonates most closely to your own being - creates the illusion of movement/change... Against this the idea that only now truly exists and that past and present are complete illusions - a message the mystics have said for 1000's of years can be seen to be true and easily understood. Love this idea as it explains so much....we are souls moving from universe to universe in an eternal now...:)
