So, do you wait forever for when Warp releases anything on youtube? Two hours of boring music isn't worth waiting for. Maybe you should give up your job of being Warp's best fan and try and make your own rubbish to wait for?

Damn, somehow this one passed me by when it came out. Not knocking on most of the newer stuff, but I think we all could have used more material that sounds like their first two records. Sounds much closer to B12 and Black Dog and their other early Warp Records contemporaries. And the hip hop angle is much clearer. Really great stuff.

15:00 - 22:00 ish might be my favorite part. The weird "wabobobahhh" voice, the distorted pacman-ish sound, the killer hip-hoppy beat, the beautiful synth @ 19:00. Something about it is pure sonic bliss. Not to mention the half-life crowbar-ish sound that kicks in @21:50... actually 00:00:00 - 2:00:00 is my favorite part, nvm.

It makes you think. Aphex and AE were at the top of branching off idm breaks/electro/acid at the same time and there was probably an unspoken truce saying "we're going this way and you go that way to make room for this sound between us so we both make our own imprint ". Or it was just good ole' bangers flying out of the studios like a night time graffiti bombing mission or a breakdancing crew showing their latest moves.

Probs my favorite part of the whole selection. Speechless. And then they mix in Crystel. Oh my God. I esp like the brief break that makes you refocus on the core elements of the beat at 1:43:56.
