dont be silly. there is exceptionally good music being made now, just as it was 10 years ago or 20 years ago, or as far into the future as humans exist

Simply... one of AE's best song... for in those days... Autechre for sure took an other route in creating music. I know many people liked their first albums and they can't feel the vibe of their new work anymore. AE is more like a science of music in the form of sound impressions... True masters of electronics...

Sick track. The rhythm is hypnotic.

Indeed. Check out their albums Tri Repeate and Amber, when you look for more tunes like that. Their music style changed a lot from the older tracks. I think this track, used in the clip, was released shortly or some month after they had released a, can't remember the name of the EP right now, ep that had also hypnotic tunes but with changing samples through out the tracks. Because back then the government of the UK tried to ban monoton electronic music, for some fallacious reasons. "That kind music makes people take drugs". As if everyone that listens or is surrounded by monoton sounds automatically is forced to take "drugs". By that logic, anyone that listens to monoton rain coming down while standing in a forrest would have to behave like they claimed. Ridicolsosususussssss But it would create wonderful warning signs like "WARNING: DON'T STAY IN THE ROOM WHILE THE WASHING MACHINE IS RUNNING." "DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR BREATH WHEN YOU BREATHE IN MONOTON RIDDIM...rippid ripped."

the way the percussion keeps getting more intense until it reaches its limit and completely collapses in on itself at 4:58 is very emotional to me

One of their all time classic tracks. Utterly alien but quite addictive.

Excellent work...ARTwork. Just came home from getting' smokeable coffin nails in the middle of the night. And was surprised when I heard that one of my favorite Autechre tracks is playing and then I got remembered of the beauty of existence while I stared paralyzed at the moving pictures on the retina display. "Nightshade like trip", crossed my mind. Well done!

omg..foil combined with this b/w video brings tears of joy to my eyes.. it just fits perfect together. the footage of the WW2 and the aerial views from the bombed cityscapes is so powerful in its visual expression and the track perfectly captures the intense feelings of anxiety this vid creates. watchin this brings me in a dark and but also lovley and almost euphoric mood^^ ...very great work ..i´d rather like to see less bullshit and more stuff like this one here on youtube

Apathetically staring while sitting at a red light on a dark summer night, new moon. Hostile green, blue, and amber glares of street lights. Playing Foil through the radio with a shitty cigarette lighter transmitter. A crackly airing of a late night talk show intrudes in the background...
@primarkopolop13 жыл бұрын
@hyperfocus i know its annoying when musicians change, but its usually for the better. take radiohead, they changed completely when kid A came out, and a lot of fans abandoned them, a lot of fans stayed with them too. whats important is that they didnt sell out like most musicians do these days!
