This EP could actually kill a victorian child in the first 3 minutes.

It is born, it grows, it lives until it eventually speeds out of control, beyond comprehension and understanding and it dies abruptly. This is fluid 1s and 2s forever streaming in your head. Autechre are above and beyond everyone else inside their genre, the true Gods of Electronica.

I wanted to explore some wacky polyrhythm pieces and this was the first thing GPT recommended. Gantz Graf is like what I'd imagine music from some alien civilization to sound like. Never heard anything like it.

the title track, gantz graf, is 3 minutes and 58 seconds long, only a bit longer than the standard radio single of 3 minutes 28 seconds. meaning, (if the admittedly quite repetative ending was trimmed back a little), it could concievably be played on any daytime radio program, or even in supermarkets or doctor's offices!

Why so little plays? Hmhmh...
@desryan16032 жыл бұрын
Perhaps because people still think and listen in sprawling albums even though EPs are often better suited to getting across one idea or sound across a few songs.

Guys, genuine question, does Gantz Graf count as Breakcore?
@baseddoggie Жыл бұрын
I think its too rhythmically disjointed to be considered breakcore.

no its more qualified to be noise or idm imo

authechre got zero melody feel, but got awesome mechanical rhythm

They have some of the gorgeous, majestic melodies ever throughout their catalog, but they tend to come in 19:20 lesser frequency, or are more subdued/ buried in the mix as time scampers onward. Put the ear right in among them skitter-scatters of metal shavings, hyperwhite slag plop globules,, torsioglobular, bit plasticks, and reams of rubber fossils in loping throb, some gristle-frayed, amid a sweep of silicate wash... Some b-boy flex-steppery often still lingers as well... I mean, Bike coulda prolly been played on the radio back in the day...Kinda.
