I saw them once too, in Cleveland in the 90s. There was a DJ on stage playing ambient stuff and then all of a sudden Orb was on stage and the DJ was gone. It was seamless and you didn't even notice the switch right away, it was so smooth. Similar to what Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie did when they toured together - Nine Inch Nails would play a song with a couple of Bowie's band members and then one of NIN's members would disappear and then after a few songs like that it was suddenly Bowie's band on stage and NIN were all gone. Very smooth transition. I like it when you're suddenly in a new head space and don't quite realise it right away.
