I just received my Evo 2 Pro and I love watching your videos for my introduction to Autel Evo Pro 2. Thank you so much for everything you and the Team do for us.

Great, informative video! The tripod mounted iPad is genius. Thanks for the info.

Great video my drone friend. Hey GOOD JOB. Thanks so much for sharing Captain. This video is awesome. You covered a lot of information. I also have the Autel Evo 2 8k Version and i love it. I believe this drone is just fantastic all the way around. You just got yourself a Big Fan and a Big supporter here. I clicked on your Bell Notifications. Let’s help and support one another Captain. Have a great evening Captain. Thanks for all you do and please keep flying.

Is it possible to film the entire mission flight without the stopping and restarting of the camera? Is it possible to use zoom on mission flights?

Mission: I want to record going east to point A, and when I get there, I want to hover and record north(0 deg) for 5 seconds, then turn and do the same for south, then go home. How do you set that up for a mission. I tried setting up waypoint A, and had multiple hovering actions programmed, but it did not work.

We try today our first Mission Planning using EVO II 8K. Even the camera settings was setup to 8000x6000 during the mission fly all pictures are only 4000x3000. Is there anyone know why this happens? We updated the drone to the last available firmware.

Get video. I will be getting both of those drones on Monday. Do I need aftermarket software to stitch the images together? Thanks!

What camera setting do you use? Shutter Priority? Auto ISO? DNG? Just got an EVO 2 Pro and will be testing it for mapping in the next few days.

How do the images look with the rolling shutter? Do you think they are clear enough to mark GCPs?
@SundanceMediaGroup4 жыл бұрын
Images are very sharp and clear. while a global shutter is always preferable, it is also a myth that rolling shutter cameras cannot be used. It is very disappointing that a marketing ploy has done so much damage to the industry. I will post some images from the rolling shutter camera, and post picks for the output from the rolling shutter camera. I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised!

@@SundanceMediaGroup I agree that a rolling shutter can be used and the amount of inaccuracy that it causes is irrelevant since the drone itself is not accurate, but my issue is that it's easier to get motion blur from the rolling shutter. That said, it's always better to fly slowly anyway. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Meanwhile, here is a map that was captured using the Evo1 with rolling shutter. We haven't gotten the profiles just right yet in Pix4D for the Autel 2 6K, but are working on it. Pix4D themselves may beat us to the punch. cloud.pix4d.com/pro/project/608967/map?shareToken=6c46c317-3507-447a-b016-0a3993a3ff9c

@@GM6DroneMapping Yes, we typically fly missions at less than 16mph. With the Evo, we've successfully flown several missions at 22mph bright sunlight with shutterspeeds of 2000, no blur.

@@SundanceMediaGroup Wow that's fast. I had a fixed wind that flew about that fast. Thanks for the link. I will check it out. I am hopeful about the Evo since I am NOT a DJI fan. I use them but don't want too.

Im new to mapping and have only owned mostly DJI drones so I am not familiar with the Autel ecosystem, but am strongly considering the EVO2. That said, does this software ship standard with the EVO2? Secondly, is it just for the 8k version or will it work on the Pro 6k 1” sensor version? Nice vid. thanks for posting!
@SundanceMediaGroup4 жыл бұрын
The software is part of the Evo ecosystem, and is included (download).

I think most would prefer to see waypoint missions and how well they are flown. Does the drone make cinematic transition in pitch and yaw ?
@SundanceMediaGroup4 жыл бұрын
We will be doing another video on waypoints in the coming days. For the commercial/enterprise sector (where we are heavily focused), mapping/mission planning is the more critical use, and by far the greatest number of questions we're asked. In initial use, the splining (what many call "cinematic") is pretty good, but we haven't really delved into it as much as we need to prior to presenting an opinion on it.

Why is this planner different than Evo 1? Why isn’t it the same? Thanks.
@SundanceMediaGroup4 жыл бұрын
It's a bit different than the Evo planning app. Certainly more "mature" and useful for actual mapping

Can we use Litchi app on Evo 2 ?

Thanks for the video! Why did you use 80 º
@DouglasSpottedEagle4 жыл бұрын
80 degrees allows for a slightly more effective 3D model when only flying nadirs.
