Someone in another video testing this out said you need to do all the calibrations, including IMU before you do this the first time. Then it's suppose to work better. Perhaps you can try that out and test it again and let us know how it goes. Thanks for the testing...very informative!

Good to know information. I think DJI probably does better at this but my Evo Pro 2 has such superior video quality I use it for specific stuff. Thanks again man!

I tried mine today on the water with a jetski and it would not track at even less than 5 knots., so I selected fast mode and yep, the zoom, the jumpiness and lost the target. I've had the Evo2Pro since they were released, and tracking has NEVER worked for me. not even able to track a car on a vineyard driveway in a realestate shoot. So frustrating...

Dynamic track at high speed = automatic zoom (I don't like it). Dynamic track at low speed = no zoom. I hope this automatic zoom disappear in the next firmware version. Congratulations for the video!

The beacon is for the Skydio drone if i'm not mistaken? i didn't have anything on me, just selected myself to be tracked from the app.

I did not have the same problem as you did when I did my dynamic track using my pedal bike which I was only doing a speed of about 15 mph. I did follow the instructions in the app and set up my distance at 30 ft. From the app manual "For best results while tracking, the system will keep a distance of 10-40ft (3-12m) between the aircraft and target." Thank you for making the video. I am going to try the tracking mode following a commercial crabber while he crabs his crab pots to see how that works.

I think you had the drone too close to you, hence why it could not keep you in the center of the of the frame as you moved. Try a bit more distance next time.

Loved that intro Mike! Enjoy the new toy...wish I had some place to ride a dirt-bike myself. Great up riding dirt bikes (in PA - USA) and they're such a blast! Hope to see more dirt bike clips in your videos. on side note...looks like Autel's got some organizational shake-ups w/ Randall Warnas (CEO) announced last Thursday that he was leaving. Apparently, after only nine weeks on the job. Guess we'll see how all that plays out in terms of new product development moving forward.

This why I love y 6 year old Yuneec Typhoon H+! My drone comes with an extra tiny remote control that you can put in your pocket in a car/motorcycle and the drone will follow it for up to 48 mph and keeping you frame perfectly. Your assistant can stay stationary and control the camera position with the main controller if you like. You can do these type of moving shots by yourself without an assistant controlling the drone. They call it a Wizard and has many buttons that can also control the drone. (it's like a tracking beacon) I have attached it to surfers in a waterproof pouch to track them perfectly. The other feature that I use a lot for my car videos is programing the drone to follow the controller. I just put it on the passenger seat and it will follow it and the car keeping it in frame and also avoid obstacles. The camera adjust its angle automatically keeping you in frame. Autel and DJI, need to add this simple and old tech for pilots who do a lot of object tracking.

In all fairness it's a gimmick feature that probably should be used at low speeds, filming should be manual. The camera and lack of ridiculously over the top geo fencing on DJI is why you buy the evo imo

Hi, IMO the Autel Evo ll Pro drone isn't a drone for gimmicks. It's strengths are the ability to do real work with missions and serious mapping. Get a DJI Mini 2 for good low cost tracking. IMO Autel shouldn't even offer those gimmick features with its EVO Pro.

Autel seems to have a lot of fans, but I am not one of them. The camera on the drone is supposed to be good, but the video looks washed out to me.

more or less useless and a lot worser than DJI and Skydio cause Skydio can be used for sport guys like tracking rowers on their workout and performance which autel evo 2 is not able to achieve autonomsly. Is the footage great on the skydio ? No, not really or at least depending on a lot of factors but usually you get quite good shots among a lot of not so good shots where some points or aspects are not right, but that is a result of full autonomous flight right now avoiding all the risks compared to take over the control if you use the EVO2 to avoid a mess or desaster. At the end skydio has an advantage, but that is just a slightly one even though for me they seem to have the highest potential to get that a lot better over night cause a lot is already right.
