I got the cine for pro work with no regrets, i have the 2s also since release (and owned all Mavics to date and some other drones before that)..and for me is worth the difference in quality, both photos and video. I really love the 2s, it got me great results, but the Mavic 3 is next level. I agree the 2s is more than the right choice for non pros though, and that the cine is for a small niche of people, but if you are in that niche, the insanely expensive cine combo becomes a cheap prores drone that can fly where the inspire 2 cant, specially in the EU. As for Autel i don't even consider their drones for pro video work, big, bulky, heavy and..well, i love DJI drones and more importantly, i trust DJI drones ✌ Also, not having geofencing is not the way to go with all the regulations coming in hot. More than once DJI also got it right with no fly zones on places people should no be flying in, like over jails and airports, state buildings and military facilities. (And yes i understand that geofencing can stand in the way of being able to do a job or not, but clients should be aware of what we need to comply to anyway) The law gets in my way a lot more than DJIs geofencing, here at least. I have 2 of the 3. M3 w/RC Pro & V2 E2P w/V2 Smart Controller. I have an Air 2, but 2 reasons I left A2S alone. 1. Fixed Aperture... It's a great camera, but I find fixed Aperture very limiting. 2. It's fungly. It has to be the ugliest drone in the world, lol 😆 😜 - I guess it's the nerdy guy in school. Super smart, competitive in things that count, but still is known only as "Four Eyes." Probably just me but man I just can't look at the goofy thing. 🤪

A great cost benefit analysis. Struggling to see the benefits of the M3 given it's high price ! The M3 advantages are not significant compared to the other 2 drones, given the price differentials. I like the Autel Evo 2 Pro, especially since it has superior dynamic range & low light performance, plus no geofencing to the DJI drones. BTW I own the M3 & Evo 2 Pro.

Great comparison!! I’ve been definitely considering these 3, but I think I’ll be waiting for the Autel Evo Lite+ considering how the Evo pro 2 struggles with tracking as well as updated features due to its age. I’ve noticed how other videos say that the E2P has “over sharpening” when in reality it’s actual DETAIL vs the Mavic 3 when you see the results side by side. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Another great comparison. What is also very helpful is the comparison of normal to Log profiles. Thank you for that !!! Here is my opinion. 1. I would not put the 2S in the same ballpark with the other 2 contenders. A fixed aperture is limiting and a "no-go" for any serious videotographer. 2. DJI´s self-generated Hype and strong PR department work wonders. But the facts ore obvious. The M3 doesn´t stand a chance against the EVO II pro when it comes to rendering details. In the picture side-by-side at 3:37 in the middle top of the picture, behind the blue trailer, the structure of the roof is revealed in the EVO shot. Mavic 3 draws a blank, literally. The same with the bushes and trees. EVO details branches and even leaves. M3 offers blobs, in nice colors, though. But color rendering is some totally different (have you used filters?- Because I have never seen a blue tint bevor). And since I shot in Log primarily that is easily graded to your liking. As a matter of fact, the M3 picture is blurry. It looks like a 1080p upscaled to 4K. It even stands back against the M2P. There is a chart table shot with both Cameras - M3 and M2P - and the M2P is the clear winner when it comes to detail. 3. Speaking about overexposer. In this very same shot, the only picture which is plagued by overexposure is the 2S. But normaly I would not say that any camera does overexpose. This can not be by definition, since you never do auto, but manual. Only the 2S is limited in this department, due to the fixed aperture. Hence the exclusion, see point 1. Summary: The 4/3 sensor should beat a 1´´ sensor handily - but i doesn´t. It is either a cheap sensor, which also creates enormous amounts of color noise. Or another explanation would be a weak optical glass. But the results are shocking, if you don´t let yourself get fooled by DJI. That being said, I am not a DJI hater, quite the opposite. And there are categories, where the M3 beats the competition. Which is dynamic range, when talking about the camera, and flight characteristics. The EVO sucks in the wind. This is not negligible and can make the difference between returning home safely and getting lost in the mountains or over sea, with fast shifting wind conditions.

I do not like the flight controller on the DJI. The RC-N1 to me is a mismatch. DJI advertizes the M3 to be for professionals. Yet, they put it together with a cheapo radio, which belongs on the Mini 2, a toy-copter for 400$, RC-N1 included.

Evo V3 is impressive. I own all three and the Evo is my go to. The Mavic 3 is a nice airframe but it is not as good during the actual filming process. The Lite Plus is another excellent drone.

I've owned an Air 2, and Air 2s and loved the video / picture quality along with the smooth flying experience. However, the GeoFencing is a MAJOR PAIN and prevents you from flying in places that really make no sense. I'm going to try out the Evo 2 Pro 6k V2 soon. If they have upgraded the firmware and it handles as well as the DJI line I my leave DJI for good just because of Geo F-ing Fencing. As a Private Pilot and part 107 pilot I think I should make the decision as to when and where to fly---the FAA agrees with me.

I don't have the Mavic 3 but it's my understanding that to use the "ocusync 3.0 plus" you need the new smart controller 2 or "pro controller" which costs $1200 US plus tax or you have to get the cine model which does not have an sd card slot, has "pro res" which I don't want because I would need thousands of dollars worth of new equipment to use pro res. That said, the EVO 2 claims "up to 9 km"? That would be roughly 5.5 miles. In use I get around 3000 ft. before getting signal warnings and had to turn around, that's about half a mile which is what I get with both of my DJI FPV quads. I haven't signal tested the Air 2s, not yet. In the coming weeks I hope to get in a few range tests in both areas that I tested the other quads. In normal use the Air 2s with the standard controller has never lost the signal and I don't have issue with the gimbal like I do on the EVO 2 Pro. Every time I fly the EVO 2 Pro I have to check the gimbal with a 4' level. I calibrate the compass, the IMU and use the auto calibrate for the gimbal and it's still out so I have to manually set the gimbal roll axil -1.8 for it to be level. When ever I shut the EVO 2 Pro down after flying I can see the gimbal jump back to the center point but when it' flying it's anyone's guess. Autel should fix issues with their quads before worrying about adding the EVO 2 light and the nano quad lines. They also left us hanging with that smart controller scam, I won't let that one go. For now the Air 2S is about as much as I need.

I'd like to shoot in windy conditions and the Evo is supposed to be able to fly in "level 8" wind (is it really 8 beaufort wind ? (62>74 kmh)) compared to 5 beaufort (29>38 kmh) wind for DJI. What do you think of it. Is it realistic?

Great video, thank you! I would not consider the Evo, and there is wide agreement that the Mavic 3 is for professionals. My concern is that my Mavic 2 Pro, which I liked a lot, sunk. An unfortunate combination of a narrow canal, a big ship, and a single tree with branches over the water that we didn't detect in time. The M 3 has superb obstacle avoidance, with cameras on all sides, and the Air 2S has no lateral detectors. Also, I liked the smart controller I bought for the M 2. It will not work with the M 3 and apparently has a lag effect with the Air 2S. Buying the M 3 and the smart controller whenever is available will cost a fortune for an amateur like me (I do have the money, by the way), but I would be flying with constant fear with the Air 2S. Thoughts?

Why would you not consider the Evo? I have a M2P, the Mavic 3 plus RC Pro on order, but will not part with my V2 E2P and V2 Smart Controller. Insane range, 7.9" screen w/2000 nits brightness and Waypoint Missions that do Video, Hyperlapse and can shoot photos WHILE recording 4K60. Sure it's not as agile but who tears around while filming, and 19 M/sec ascend speeds are nothing new to E2P. The interface is a camera operator's dream vs. the tiny tap points in DJI Fly. It's got some weaknesses, and M3 will be great... when the development is done, which may be a while. Right now, I find the M3 better at night footage, but not by much. May trade up to E2P Enterprise with longer Airfoil carbon fiber arms bigger motors with huge, silent props and puts flight times up another 3-5 minutes keeping it basically close or equal to M3 times.

👍🏻 Another great video…. I was wondering if anyone knows if the distance / range of the Mavic 3 is better than the Air-2s? I know that both use OccuSync 3, but is everything else the same? I’m primarily concerned with the use of either / both drones with the RC-Pro controller as well as the stock controller. Our use is extreme long distance flight missions in a fairly wooded area. Search & rescue on an old abandoned railroad line and wild land fires are the primary purpose of the investment into the drones. We are a volunteer organization and the initial hardware was donated - otherwise, I think we would have opted for something more suited for the job at hand. Though… these models have been a literal lifesaver when used within close distances. We have been using the Mavic-2 zoom and the Mavic-2 pro for over 3 years now. The performance, while impressive compared to other RC gadgets we have played around with over the years, it was nothing like we had been told or had anticipated by reading the specifications. So… We modified one of our controllers by adding an external antenna array (Alientech?) which gave us an extra 20% approx range. Looking for more, we added an external bi-directional 2.4/5.x ghz 2.5 watt amplifier. This gave us an additional 10%. Still nothing close to what we really required. HERE IS THE CURRENT DILEMMA = We just purchased an Air-2s to replace one of the Mavic-2 drones. It seemed like an ideal craft to buy. Nearly all of the reviews have been very positive a d the cost was reasonable. The range performance is exceptional!! The distance with the stock controller is BETTER than our Mavic-2 series drones ($$ with expensive antenna & amplifier mods$$). The only problem was that when operating with the Smart Controller (original model), the performance dropped significantly AND operation of the controller was very intermittent and “sketchy”. It would disconnect from the craft mid-flight, reboot mid-flight AND would pop up windows on top of others and then would remain COMPLETELY disconnected 😳😡!! On more than one occasion, the drone had to land itself with RTH!! When trying out the RC-Pro with the Air-2s, overall performance was incredible!! Surprisingly enough, it was not glitchy and operation was very stable. AND… RANGE / DISTANCE WAS MUCH BETTER than even the stock controller that came with the Air-2s ! Looking at all of these benefits, we would love to sell our Mavic-2 models / batteries / accessories / controllers / goggles / etc… And purchase a single Mavic-3 Fly More Combo package. Truthfully, does anyone have first hand experience with the Air-2s vs. Mavic-3 ?? - Range / distance comparison? - Are the GPS lock issues still a factor? Or.. repaired in firmware? - How stable with the stock controller ? How stable with the RC-Pro. - How good is the “telephoto/zoom” feature? (compared to Mavic-2 Zoom “optical zoom”? Compared to Air-2s “digital zoom”?) - Any compatibility with the DJI FPV Goggles v.2 ? (we purchased the goggles based on DJI promising “future compatibility” with the Air-2s and are STILL waiting) - Do the batteries REALLY work for 40+/- minutes? - For a 3rd party charger …. Oh yeah… I forgot…. We would LOVE to dump DJI in favor of Autel. I am not sure if their customer service is any better, but, I’d venture to say just about ANYTHING is better than DJI. The PRIMARY feature we like = No GeoFencing. Of course !! We have been locked out of flight operations in an area somewhat close to a small municipal airport when launching the drone was an important task. The purpose of that particular halted/failed flight was to provide aerial footage of foam deployment at the site of a small jet with retracted landing gear. While not critical, it would have been fantastic to have the footage later on for training purposes. I HATE THE “NANNY STATE” and the huge tech giants who carry out their desires. What happens if/when the laws change? What if DJI is upset with a particular customer for a bad review, upset with a country? What if the CCP Chinese Communists decide they are all done collecting video footage of a desired area (ex: a home adjacent to a military base or other desirable target of the CCP (Mother Party of Demoncrats)? What if a failure of the DJI authentication servers/system occurs or DJI closes its doors? DOES YOUR DJI PRODUCT BECOME “BRICKED”?

How does the air 2s compare for tracking? I've had 3 dji platforms (P3A, Mavic pro, Mini 2) of which failed or did not have feature. I now have the mini 4 pro that claimed victory over this feature. Wrong! It still cannot maintain lock on subject for very long!!!! My late Skydio 2 still holds the crown 👑. Sorry to have to give you the cold proven hard facts, all you dji and autel lovers😢

I have just watched a video with very well done footage comparisson between Autel E2P and Mavic 3 and .... believe it or not, E2P was way better than Mavic 3. This drone market is so unpredictable that is difficult to plan your acquisitions. How and people preorder Autel Nano and Lite without even see some footage made with them ??? On the other side, DJI Mini 3 looks that it may be coming soon. So, we can´t decide until seeing the real facts either in Autel and DJI. About geofencing, I think I have read about some "jail breaking" software out there. Thanks again

I own the 6k pro and I hate how inaccurate the color science is. Reds look orange, greens to yellow. I have filmed red ferraris, red Alfa Romeos Guilia and red c8 vette and the red is always way off. Great quality sturdy drone flys great but handles terribly making the flight not so pleasurable. It's alot of work to in post to get the colors where there need to be to represent real life colors. Autel floats through the air handles terribly even when messing with control settings. I purchased the air 2s and it handles like BMW very easy to parralex and get very creative shots off effortlessly. The only con for the air 2s and for me it's not a con is that it has a fixed appeture but just put a variable nd filter and you are good to go. Also w the Autel 6k pro with the proper nd filter on I would always get over exposed highlights and regardless if I would raise the apeture high lights would remain bad and noise would be introduced very easily. My Air 2s retired my Autel 6k pro. is retired now

Nice comparison. I prefer M3 by a mile. I must note that the price difference between air2s and m3 is indeed 1k which seems pricy, but on the other hand the m3 has approx 15 improved specs like higher bit depth for photos (12bit), higher bitrate for video, better colors, zoom camera (7x zoom is sharp and detailed for so far my results), better obstacle avoidance, better RTH, less sound pitch, longer flight time etc. People forget this but for me all these specs definitely justifies the higher price. It lacks firmware and features but january isnt that far away and i expect all flight modes to be as good as they used to be. I love the RC pro controller. I have had the old smart controller which i didnt like as much. The new one is much faster.

After 5 years in the field of UAV with experience with Dji, Fimi, Hubsan , etc. and now with Autel, Autel has the worst customer service especially for Europe! I have a Evo ii that is at the official service for 3 months now, they can not repair it, but they refusing to replace it. ( motherboard issue) Not at all fault of user!

I don't know what part of Europe you're from, but in mine the manufacturer has to get it fixed in 15 working days or replace the item.
