Enjoyed your video, Marcus! I'm always amazed that any drone could fly that close to a telephone tower. It is literally being blasted with a variety of radio frequencies over a wide spectrum. I know that the phones are on a different frequency, but that close to the source there must still be a lot of power in the side band harmonics. Drones are able to reject all of this and plow right through like it wasn't there.

Because of the wide aperture on the lens of this drone, it really has an over exposure problem during bright sunlight. It needs a strong ND filter for daylight flights. The constant switching of video quality is a little tough to work with. Great testing, and I’m glad this drone is performing much better for you now that it has been in the shop. Thanks for sharing.

Really enjoyed this video, and yes I am a fan of the wonderful autel evo nano plus, which utterly outshines the now rather clumsy, heavy, noisy, and outdated phantom 4 pro drone (which I cant even give away lol).. Trouble is, I did not stop there, when autel offered a sale for a 'bargain you cant refuse,' so now ended up with an orange one and a white one - beg you don't tell the wife!. (There again shes allowed to buy 300 pairs of shoes). Yes it's sadly annoying how the drone will now and then not revert to 4k mode after take off, but other than that cant fault it. Love the way you explored above that cell phone tower, very impressive, and no interference at all, despite being so many metres at the side and above that tower which would be giving off quite a few watts of cellphone frequency. The "insufficient space to fly" message is annoying now and then too. And thank you for showing me the various modes, eg panoramic mode, stitching 9, 12, 26 photos etc. Great job. The quality of the images and videos, really do show up its' rival, and there are quite a few comparison videos on you tube which really show how good this drone is. Andy United Kingdom.

@@IdahoQuadcopter Wow yes after all that, I actually forgot to mention, just as you said, the amazing camera. I have seen so many video comparisons between the evo nano+ and its' obvious rival, and the camera is just amazing, especially when using 8192x6144 still mode, and then zooming right in on the images created, the detail is incredible, and really does put some drones to shame. Thank you again, for just a great video, and of course for giving the evo nano+ the merit it so deserves and needs. Andy

If I could offer a couple of suggestions. Use a 64ND filter in the bright sunshine to bring the shutter speed down and absent that, lower your exposure value until the video doesn't look so washed out. You can always brighten it up a bit in post processing if needed. I get crystal clear video and photos from this little camera drone without being over sharpened. Sometimes a good photo editor can reduce the noise to give it a softer look for those who prefer that.

If you're still interested, I got the Premium Bundle on eBay for $565. It was fully legit as I was able to register it with Autel and purchase Autel care. Really enjoying it and very impressed with the camera. Conversely, I'd love to something like an Air 2s for rougher weather etc.

Yes I love the Nano+, and surprisingly same as you, bought an air 2s afterwards, which I utterly adore. Yes go for the nano plus, ideally when autel have a sale, where you get loads of extras for a small price. Nano+ is in white, gray, orange, and I have to say, while the white one looks good, the orange one has a certain cuteness to it too. Andy UK

I was really excited to own an Autel drone on 2nd flight was amazed of how it performed Told son to do a Rth about 50 yards from us It went up position itself to decend An it dropped like a dead duck. The gimble looks to be disconnected It had 50% battery an remote 80% Fpv maintain even after it slam from 100 feet. I reach to autel the offer me 400 drone is only 4 months old 2 flights . Needless to say im disappointed

Yeah? When? It was advertised at that for a few days a couple weeks ago. As soon as I went to pull the trigger, it magically became 665. I ordered it anyway and they shipped a white one without my consent. Then, on the second battery it lost signal at 50' altitude and 900' out, crashing into soft dirt instead of returning home. That broke the gimbal arm. Sent it back yesterday and bought another one for 700 today direct from autel with a free deluxe shoulder bag. These ebay and amazon autel dealers will jerk you around. I had a second one that was supposed to arrive today but got delayed by 2 weeks. Had to cancel that order too, which wasn't easy cuz they did ship a set of "free" props already. Had to get Amazon involved. Luckily, the THIRD one I just ordered direct from autel shipped the same day and I should get it in 2 days. I assume it'll be the right color and won't fall from the sky for no reason. TLDR: Don't trust the "deals", (much under 700 for the premium kit) There's always some kind of bullshit you're going to have to go through, be it shipping delays, wrong specs, bait and switch, dodgy battery, etc. Autel evidently has very low or no standards for its dealers.

@IdahoQuadcopter Ha!! I spoke too soon. I was sent a Nano, not a Nano Plus. Just shipped it back today. The good side is that I found the $565 premium package on eBay and it ships from the US. It's red, but that's cool. Let's hope the 4th time is a charm. Otherwise, I'm giving up and going to DJI despite the fact that I live near 1000 little private airports that'll open up another can of worms with DJI. (Evidently, everyone here gets an airstrip instead of a car when they turn 16)
