I love your dress! The apple pie looks really good. I bake it all the time. We usually put whipped cream on top. Americans eat these kind of pies on Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, with a little bit of whipped cream on top. Great video, as always! We are having a heatwave in Philadelphia this week. It's really hot outside.

Great job Joyce and family. Love watching your Chanel. Next time use cinnamon and put some butter inside the apples before placing the top dough. Also use butter while kneading the dough to make it more flakey. Everything looks delicious though. We are at 90s degree in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. sooo hot

Great, great, great. Joyce, all legumes, including beans, peas, lentils...you can soak them in cold water the night before and only drain the water the next morning and pour another one and cook. Legumes cook much, much faster if they are soaked in cold water overnight.

Good Sunday morning sweet family! Around the city of Detroit in Wayne county Michigan in the US we are just getting a break from a heat wave we had this week. Our states in the west are still sweltering. We imagine how nice your garden feels with all the lush greenery🌳🌳🌿🌱 and the beautiful organic foods on your homestead. It is hard work but it looks like your customers are appreciating your farm! Your apple pie is so pretty and looks very yummy!🤗🤗 I admire your cooking/baking skills!

Joyce's your content is brilliant! I love the idea of including other countries and time periods. It made me think about how similar the cooking methods of my enslaved African ancestors would have been to the meal from the 1800s in America. It's fascinating to see these connections. Keep up the good work! Also, I adore little Jimmy. Perhaps asking him questions instead of telling him to repeat what you say would help expand his vocabulary even more.

Blessing from America, unfortunately some of our / my ancestors in the 1800’s were slaves and were not fed spinach but collard greens (takes longer to cook and digest) pigs feet, fat back( the layer of fat with little meat, chitterlings, grits ( course ground corn) lard (animal fat for frying) maize, peas and yams and all the undesirable parts of animal. I am proud that I am a direct descendant of slaves because when I reflect on the Power of Prayer and the Grace of the Lord, I enjoy the freedom that many slave sacrificed their lives for.
