Happy birthday Eunice it's a joy to see you baking your birthday cake. We use to bake the same way in the Caribbean but it was a little different. Instead of hot sand in the pot, we would put the mixture in the pot then we would cover the pot and then build a fire on top as well as underneath the pot. God bless you for bringing our childhood memories back to life. God bless you.

Hello Eunice: I have a similar recipe of the cake, but without the icing. I admire all the dedication you have preparing the cakes for your birthday. I also lived for 5 years without electricity in a small wooden hut of 21 m2 in a small island in the middle of the Pacific (Chile). I was very happy. Then the electricity was installed and was never again so happy as before. Simple = happier. I very much liked your system of baking with the saucepan with hot sand. Very ingenious. In my case, I had a gas stove, although sometimes I cook outside with an old drum with a fire inside and then a lid to cook bread on the upper floor. Hope you had a nice birthday and a very good cake. Greetings from your neighbour continenet (South America)

Once again happy belated birthday, the Lord is good and greatly to be praise! You did an excellent job for the way you do it where you live, we do it different , but as long as it come out the way you want it that’s all that matters , so bravo to you, an excellent job you did Beautiful young lady! And I’m happy for you too. Love you sweetheart no one can see you missed anything up, because your process is completely different from the way a lot of us do , some of us use an and some of our products are a little different that we use there so therefore since our ingredients are somewhat different Then how we do ours different and there’s nothing wrong with that and there’s nothing wrong with what you did, So there’s no need to correct you , I’m a Baker and I bake my Cake in an oven nothing like what you did so I cannot and I will not criticize Or make a judgment because what you did was completely different and that is your process where you live in your Village because you do not have an oven and I think 🤔 the process is fabulous! It’s not how you get there as long as you get there. And you make your lovely Beautiful!!! CAKE 🍰 🎂 🥳 🎉 🥰👩🏾🦲😍

It’s such a blessing and a gift from God to allow you the madden world that life is not about how poor you are but how grateful you are will little and appreciate little even when you don’t have a lot of money but God many ways out of nothing and make your life so happy and blessed, you are poor but yet rich life in a learning experience and if you just be humble and and trust in God he can make the impossible possible it’s just how you treat other and just be yourself and love yourself and others don’t think of yourself butter than anyone and God do not like when you think too highly of your the pride I remember when I was doing the same thing back in Jamaica the only different is I didn’t use dirt because it was a cake like that it was a different texture type so we had to put the fire coals top and bottom and I love it even now I I do enjoy seeing you baking and May God give you more ideas to do greater things God blessed and be encouraged ❤️🙏🏿👏👏👏👏

If you put a bunch of flour in the first pan, you can turn it on its side over the second pan and tap the pan as you rotate it. You will get a much better coverage of flour on the bottom & sides that way. For the second pan, you just turn it on its side & rotate the pan until everything is covered. I would do the heart pan first. By doing it like this it won't stick to the pan so much
